WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛

Cassidy – Belly Rub Champion! Meet Cassidy, an approximately 9-month-old pup with a compact little build and a personality that will melt your heart. Our best guess is that he may be a hound and terrier mix, but whatever his breed blend is, it created one very lovable dog. Cassidy is a sweet and affectionate boy who loves spending time with people. One of his favorite things to do is flop right onto his back and ask for belly rubs. The moment he feels comfortable, over on his back he goes, ready to soak up all the love and belly rubs you are willing to give. He has the fun, playful spirit of a young dog but also enjoys relaxing and being close to his people. Cassidy would love a home where he can be part of the family and share plenty of cuddles and companionship. If you are looking for a loving pup with a gentle, affectionate personality, Cassidy may be the perfect match for you. Go ahead and submit an adoption application for Cassidy now. Cassidy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. Adoption Fee: $250 Local Adoption Fee (Texas) $550 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)

APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. G … and all her litter mates … are super friendly and happy. They were born in our house on 12/9/25. Mom is a Basset Mix. All but one of them have short legs, long body, and adorable faces. Goldie is the only one whose legs are a little longer. We don’t know who the daddy(ies) are. Three of the pups have at least 1 blue eye…some have two which really enhances their looks. They have been raised in the house with a great mama and handled daily. They love people and play whole-heartedly with stuffed toys. These pups will make great family pets and great with kids. The nice thing is the short legs. It makes it more difficult to counter surf. They will probably get to be 30-35# when grown. Mom is 28#. She looks less because she’s short. The mom is a great personality as was the other 2 siblings she came in with and her puppies are just as sweet. Story
Meet Jenny! Jenny is a soft, soulful, and quietly wonderful girl. She is a 3-year-old Beagle mix who has a gentle heart and a story that has taught her to move through the world carefully. Once she knows you, she is very sweet, but trust takes time and that is okay. Jenny isn't the kind of dog who rushes into relationships. She blossoms slowly, on her own timeline, with patience and kindness. What Jenny does know right away is dogs. She absolutely loves them and truly thrives as part of a pack. She bonds deeply with other dogs in a way she simply doesn't with people, and they give her confidence and comfort. She adores dogs of all sizes, plays happily with them, and will even choose to snuggle with her dog friends at bedtime, although she is perfectly content sleeping in bed with you, too. Because of her past, Jenny is scared of the leash and needs a home that understands she may always be more of a homebody. That said, she loves being outside, especially sunbathing, which might just be her favorite hobby. She is calm, quiet, crate trained, housebroken, and treat motivated. She will happily take treats from your hand and allow gentle pets, especially when her dog friends are nearby cheering her on. Jenny is indifferent to cats and would do best in a quiet, adult-only home or one with older children (over 12) who can respect her space and allow her to exist without pressure. The best way to win Jenny over is to ignore her, let her come to you, and let the trust build naturally. No forcing, no expectations, just patience. She is just deeply lovable, a little quirky, and absolutely worth getting to know. For the right family, especially one with other friendly dogs, Jenny will be a soft, steady presence who brings warmth, humor, and heart in her own beautifully subtle way.  Jenny is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $350 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Tansy   Age: 9 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Beagle Mix Color: Brown / White Weight: 9.1 kg Height: 40 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story   Tansy was rescued during a severe cold wave. She had been living tied up outside a factory, exposed to the freezing weather. Thankfully she was rescued and brought to safety. Now she is safe, warm, and ready to find a loving forever home.   ‍‍ Personality with People   Tansy is a very affectionate and people-loving dog. She happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, rubbing against them and asking for attention.   She loves being petted and handled. Even people she meets for the first time can pick her up, and she often rolls over to show her belly.   She is friendly with both women and men and does well with children under 13 years old.   Socialization with Other Dogs   Tansy is friendly with other dogs and enjoys greeting them and inviting them to play, even if they are strangers.   She tends to get along best with dogs of a similar size. If a dog is very rough or has very high energy, she may choose to avoid them.   She is not confrontational and usually walks away if another dog is pushy. While she enjoys having dog friends, she is independent enough to do well as the only dog in the home.   Cats   Tansy has not been formally tested with cats. When she sees cats during walks, she watches them with curiosity but follows her handler when guided away. A cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Tansy has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and exploring during walks, but after exercise she settles down nicely and rests calmly.   Walks   She does not have extensive leash experience yet, but she follows people well and does not pull strongly on the leash. She especially enjoys sniffing and exploring during walks.   Other Notes   • No food guarding toward people or dogs • Rarely barks • No separation anxiety observed • Calm and quiet in a kennel/crate • Mostly prefers outdoor potty   Tansy is a sweet and affectionate young dog who truly loves people. She would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a friendly, loving, and easygoing dog.
