Story
Hi, I am Lucy,Thank you so much for checking out my profile. I have been waiting a long time for my forever family. I hope you like what you see.I am very affectionate with my foster and love it when we can cuddle together. I like to be with other dogs after we are properly introduced, and I don’t mind cats and if they are respectful, I will respect their space too.People are good, but sometimes I am suspicious of strangers, and I might growl until I know they are ok. I get along well with children too. I am not a barker, but I will occasionally offer a little howl if the mood strikes me.Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, going to the beach (but not in the water), and going on long walks with my family. I don’t much like the leash, but I am getting used to it now. I like to be close, so I just walk right beside my foster even when I don’t have a leash. If it sounds like I could be part of your family just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Lucy To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Meet Alaric! Sweet little Alaric aka Ricky has the cutest little Dobby ears and he has the big paws, short legs and long body of a basset hound! He loves playing with other dogs and with playful cats, so he'd love to have friends in his forever home! Ricky is about 4 months old and weighs 17 pounds. He's learning with potty training, and he loves to follow around his fosters. He prefers to avoid crowds, so he's more of a homebody, but he likes going on walks with his pack. He knows sit, and he's really chill and laid back for a puppy.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.September 27, 2023, 9:46 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Sparrow!! I'm a sweet little girl looking for my furever. I am sweet and cuddly, but am a puppy and will play in the backyard with the best of them, no matter how short my little legs are! I come from a family of 9, so I'm pretty good and group projects and sharing. I would love to sleep with you, cuddle on the couch during a Saturday night movie and we can work our way up to adventurous weekend outings. All of my skills are not mastered yet, so my person will have to have the extra time and patience to teach me all the things I need to learn. Please be aware that all of our pets are in foster care in South Texas. They are transported to their new homes once adopted. We are 100% volunteer based, so it could take a day or 2 before we are able to process an application. If you are interested in adopting an animal, please fill out our adoption application using the blue Apply To Adopt button above and someone will review it shortly!

Guardian is a 5 month old bundle of joy. He loves people and other dogs. He is a curious little fella who is ready to learn about the world with his new family. Guardian is still a puppy and will need an adopter who has the time to teach him the basics that he should know. He is a sweet little boy who would love to cuddle in bed with his person, spend his evenings on your lap watching a movie and be your hiking buddy on the weekends! Guardian would do best with a large fenced yard where he has room to run and play. Please be aware that all of our pets are in foster care in South Texas. Story
Hello!I'm Coco. I am a big puppy who loves to play with other dogs of all sizes. I'm super submissive - so even the little dogs get to boss me around. I just want to be friends with everyone. I've not seen a lot of cats - so I'm not sure if we would get along. I'm still learning my manners - like how not to jump on my foster mom when I'm so excited to see her. She is teaching me to walk better on a leash, to sit for my food, and to sit before we go through doors. It's hard because I get so excited to go for walks, to the beach, and to play with my friends -- but I know with practice I'll get it.I don't bark a lot - but I do try to tell my foster mom all about my playmates in doggy day care when we are driving home. I bark when people come to the door but mostly because I like meeting new people to see if they would like to play with me.I'm learning how to ride in the car without getting sick. The main thing is no treats for me before a car ride. A light meal is okay - a few hours before. I have actually improved a lot so maybe I'll get over it.Because I am so sociable, I do great in doggy day care and I do great with other dogs especially if they like to play. So if you think you might like to adopt me, please click on the Apply to Adopt button and let's get things started.Love,Coco To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo.
