EVE Eve is a small sweet Puggle (pug and beagle) the vet estimates is 6 yrs. old and is 22 pounds with long legs. She's a lovebug and wants to cuddle with a person on a couch/chair and in bed. She knows how to use a dog door and has had no inside accidents. She has a lot of play energy and needs a home where she will be walked a minimum of 1-2 times a day. She also needs another dog to play with and a back yard to run in. Eve can jump high and a minimum 5ft. wall all the way around is required. She is also a digger. Fencing must have a footer so she doesn't dig her way under. Children in the home should be at least 6 yrs. or older, due to her energy. Her favorite thing to do is lay in the back yard, waiting to stalk squirrels. We aren't sure if she is cat friendly. She is not happy being in a crate. We are looking to adopt Eve in the Tucson area as she has the potential to be a door dasher. Story

Keira Keira is a slight 26lb 5-year-old beagle who was found out in the middle of nowhere, and brought to the shelter by her finder. She does okay with other dogs with a slow and thoughtful introduction. She has gotten along with dogs in her foster homes. However, she would probably be happiest as an only dog. She just tends to prefer people to dogs. Unlike most beagles, she is not a chow hound, but she does guard her food dish against other dogs and must be fed separately. Keira is a very lovey dog greeting us happily when we get home. Sometimes when we get home she tries a bit of door-dashing. She has not gotten out but she has tried, so her adopter will need to have a safe way to enter and exit the house. She is not much of a snuggler even though she does love to sleep under the covers with her parents in bed. Keira does live up to the beagle scent hound reputation, getting very excited when she smells something she likes. She will start to yip in excitement when she’s on the trail of something. One of the cutest things she does is kicking grass, unlike most dogs who do this, she can do it whenever and for any reason. If she gets particularly excited she will start to kick and yip, positively vibrating with enthusiasm. Such a character! Winnie is an adventurous 28-pound beagle with a beautiful cow-patterned coat and a gentle, affectionate temperament. Winnie is approximately 5 years old with a lot of playful young beagle energy. She is good with dogs but more than anything else she loves walks and human attention. She has a magician-like ability to get out of collars and harnesses, and should be double-leashed when outside of the home. Although she has not been destructive when left alone, she would do better in a house with someone at home for most of the day. Tucson area adoption is preferred.

Foster Notes: This is Daisy May Dior. She is about 12 lbs. of pure joy. At 9 months old, she still has a lot of puppy in her but is nearly full grown. I suspect she is a Jack Russell terrier. Highly intelligent and very active. She is a near perfect family dog and appears to be mostly house trained already. She has peed a few times in the house during her first few days but then has settled in very nicely. The only issue I have now is her puppy level curiosity. She has been non-destructive and loves to run & jump a lot. She did super well at the dog park. I`m sure she will do very well in any home but might play a bit too rough with small children. She has blended into my household with my 6 other small dogs (and self) exceptionally well. Loves kissing and playing with everyone she meets. A real top dog choice if you are looking for a home companion or playmate for another small dog.

Foster Notes: In her foster home, Gucci is a real sweetheart. She is 9 months old, house trained, doggy door trained and a happy puppy. Yes, puppy antics are happening here. Don`t put anything down, she will take it away. She isn`t demonstrating that she will chew things up, just move them to her doggy bed. Gucci is shy at first but warms up to her people. She likes to rest in doggy beds or the sofa. And she sleeps in bed with us humans and other dogs at night. She is good with dogs and cats.

Daisy is an adorable Lemon Beagle/Bassett Mix who is looking for her furever home with someone who will spoil her rotten. She has a nice balance of energy, loves hiking and walking and sometimes gets the zoomies, but also enjoys curling up in a sunny patch and snoozing for hours. She currently lives with 3 smaller dogs, but acts somewhat fearful of other dogs when out on a walk.She will initiate play with the dogs she knows, but considers all toys to be hers and does not share.Daisy currently has valley fever, but has responded well to meds. She is very sweet and endearing and a joy to be around.
