Story
Sol is a sweet, one-year-old pup adopted from Pima Animal Care Center in May. He is a perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly cuddles. * Extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle * Playful and happy-go-lucky * Knows all basic commands * House-trained (and will give you *the stare* when he needs to go out) * Currently working on loose-leash walking * Lives peacefully with a cat. Sol is an enthusiastic hiking buddy but is just as content curling up for a lazy day on the couch. He thrives on exercise, attention, and being part of your daily routine. His current family loves him deeply, but busy schedules mean he is not getting the time, attention, and activity he deserves. Sol would do best in a home that can offer him plenty of love, engagement, and exercise. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about Sol, please feel free to reach out!

Story
Gentle, mellow, and affectionate Cow is as easygoing as they come! She loves being with people and has been slow and careful when meeting other dogs. At home, she’s a laid-back companion who enjoys napping with her humans or sunbathing in a cozy spot. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite, and she’ll happily roll over the moment you give her attention. She’s fully housebroken, doesn’t use a crate, and can be trusted alone in the home (though she’d rather not eat when she’s by herself). She always lets you know when she needs to go outside.?? Day Trip Highlights Grade: A+- Cuddled with kids for a movie night (ages 7 & 9)- Three words that describe her: sweet, calm, well-behavedKid-friendly, polite, and doesn’t jump on people or furniture- Sociable and fun, loves the outdoors, and happiest when relaxing with her people- This gentle soul is the perfect mix of affectionate and easygoing. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who’s great with kids and thrives on sunshine and belly rubs, she’s your girl!

Story
EVE Eve is a small sweet Puggle (pug and beagle) the vet estimates is 6 yrs. old and is 22 pounds with long legs. She's a lovebug and wants to cuddle with a person on a couch/chair and in bed. She knows how to use a dog door and has had no inside accidents. She has a lot of play energy and needs a home where she will be walked a minimum of 1-2 times a day. She also needs another dog to play with and a back yard to run in. Eve can jump high and a minimum 5ft. wall all the way around is required. She is also a digger. Fencing must have a footer so she doesn't dig her way under. Children in the home should be at least 6 yrs. or older, due to her energy. Her favorite thing to do is lay in the back yard, waiting to stalk squirrels. We aren't sure if she is cat friendly. She is not happy being in a crate. We are looking to adopt Eve in the Tucson area as she has the potential to be a door dasher. If you are interested in adopting Eve or have any questions about her, please fill out an application on the Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue website. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36-9pbowOVOI-xrX4TIiSIxl4/edit Eve's adoption fee is $250.November 5, 2024, 12:02 pm

Story
Grace - Adoptable Grace is a 5–6-year-old, brown and white classic beagle with a lot of energy and stamina! She is house trained and has great house manners. She should have another dog to play with and gets along great with other dogs, large and small, male and female. NO cats. Like most beagles, Grace needs a lot of exercise, at least 2 walks every day, and a big yard to run in. She’s a TOTAL explorer and does like to dig. When in the yard, her hunting instincts come out and sometimes she sings the song of her people when she sees or hears anything that is exciting in any way. Her foster mom will bring her inside if she gets too vocal and that fixes the problem. A minimum 5ft. wall around the back yard is required. If chain link, you must have a deep concrete footer or she will dig her way out. She is somewhat excitable when on leash, so she will benefit from an obedience class. Grace is a door darter. Her family will need to have a plan for (and preferably experience in) how to keep her safe around doors and gates. If riding in a vehicle, she should have a dog seat belt, as she will dart out when you open the door or window. Due to her door darting, we are accepting applications only in the Tucson area. She is a strong dog, so, a family with small children or with someone not totally stable on their feet would not be a good fit. Please fill out an application, if you might be interested in Grace. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36-9pbowOVOI-xrX4TIiSIxl4/editAugust 10, 2025, 4:12 pm

Story
JAKE - no children and needs to go to a home in a close radius to Tucson      Jake is a friendly 4-year-old (not sure of age) beagle who gets along well with other dogs.  However, he has also been STARVED.  If you don't know the meaning and impact of that word -- Google is your friend.  Jake came to the rescue, looking like a skeleton.  To say he is extremely keyed in on food would be an understatement.  He is always looking for food and won't hesitate nipping at your hands if they smell of food.  So NO, I mean, ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN -- EVER.  Jake is fed and given treats in his crate.  I highly recommend having a crate for him or his own room for feeding and treating if you have other animals.  A certified animal behaviorist may help Jake but I doubt he will ever lose that need to seek out food.  Jake also is not leash trained, so a basic obedience class would do wonders for him and you.  Jake needs to go to a home in a close radius to Tucson     If you are looking for a dog with no issues, might I suggest a stuffed animal.  If you are into challenges, Jake and I double dog dare you to turn him into that cuddle of fluff he has the potential of becoming in the correct hands -- otherwise, let's not waste anyone's time.     Jake's adoption fee is $300.00 This dog's adoption fee is a minimum $300.00 donation to help us save more dogs. Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue, SoAZBR is an all-volunteer group. One hundred percent of your donation is used for the care and treatment needy beagles. Your donation is 100% tax deductible, too.August 10, 2025, 4:12 pm
