Story
Butter is sweet, calm, and loving. She loves to be outdoors! She likes fetch, tug of war & sniffing around on walks. She would love to go hiking or mini jogs with you, and on car rides. She also loves to nap a lot, sun bathe, and enjoys lots of cuddles. She is very good with children, and calm around cats. She gets along well with other small/medium dogs, and gentle large dogs. She warms up easily. We are looking for a very loving family for her, that has time to spend playing with her, walking her regularly, keep up with vet visits, and give her attention.Allergies: Bee stings, and Purple Fountain Grass (tall purple weeds). She is house trained. She responds to commands: "Buttercup Here, Sit, Down, Drop it, Leave it, Go lay down on your bed." She is very smart, and highly food motivated, so she is easy to train. She is very loyal, and will want to be by your side, and is very well behaved. We have had her since birth, so we just want to find a family who is nearby to love& care for her.

Story
Amber is a darling little dog who is estimated to be around 7 years old and weighs about 25 pounds. While we're not entirely sure of her breed mix, we do know one thing for certain—Amber is pure sweetness. This lovely girl was rescued from a high-kill shelter on her very last day, and since then she has shown everyone what an incredible, resilient, and loving companion she can be. Amber has a gentle, calm nature, but she also has a curious side and enjoys exploring the world around her. Amber gets along well with other dogs and truly enjoys spending time with people. Whether she's joining you for a leisurely walk or relaxing by your side at home, she's happiest being part of the family. She walks beautifully on a leash, has excellent house manners, and appears to be house-trained. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a kind heart and a sweet disposition, Amber may be the perfect match. She's ready to leave her difficult past behind and start the next chapter of her life with a family who will love her as much as she deserves. To meet Amber please complete the application on our website, www.greatpets.org. Amber’s $300 adoption donation includes her vet exam, vaccinations, spay surgery, dental cleaning, blood work, microchip, fecal and flea control. July 22, 2026, 10:51 pm

Story
Meet Paloma! Paloma is an adorable roughly 20-pound terrier/beagle mix with the sweetest little face and an even sweeter personality. She was rescued alongside her siblings and her mama, Jell-O, after they were found as strays in Menifee, CA — and she hasn’t looked back since. Paloma is well-adjusted, affectionate, and loves nothing more than cuddles. She’s great on leash, making her the perfect walking buddy for neighborhood strolls or weekend adventures. With her gentle nature and loving spirit, Paloma is ready to bring warmth, joy, and plenty of tail wags to her forever to home.  To meet Paloma, please fill out an adoption application here:  https://muttsinneed.org/apply/adoptNOTE: because Paloma grew up surrounded by dogs, her ideal home has another playful dog

Story
If you’ve been following Jello’s journey since we first posted her weeks ago, you know she arrived heavily pregnant and in urgent need of a safe place to land. After securing a wonderful foster home, we took her to our vet for X-rays to check on her progress, but we were met with some difficult news. Jello was carrying nine puppies—an incredible strain on her tiny frame. Given her small size and the fact that she had already endured a previous litter at the homeless encampment where she was rescued, the medical consensus was clear: proceeding with the pregnancy posed a severe risk to her life. Between the high probability of birth complications, the potential for extreme nutritional deficiency, and the reality of finding around-the-clock volunteers for bottle-feeding, we had to make a heart-wrenching decision. To ensure Jello had the chance at a long, healthy life, we moved forward with an emergency spay. While we did not make this choice lightly, we chose to prioritize the well-being of the sweet girl currently in our arms. Now recovered and spayed, Jello is thriving and showing us her true colors. At approximately 3 years old, she is an incredibly friendly, curious, and social soul who absolutely loves both people and other dogs. She is finally getting the chance to be the center of attention rather than a mother struggling to survive, and she is more than ready to find a forever home that will cherish her. Jello is approx 3 years old and under 20lbs.  Apply to adopt Jello at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html
