The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Wilbur is a 2 year old Basset Hound. Wilbur‘s family decided they didn’t have time for a young dog, so they were looking for a rescue for him. He was in Mexico, and needed vet care, so a wonderful foundation reached out to us to see if we could take him. We gladly agreed. He has been treated and is ready for his new family. Wilbur is always happy! He is a typical hound dog and vocalizes his feelings. He loves other dogs and is looking for a home with a playmate. He loves people and loves to be snuggled. Wilbur is a great dog and is looking for an equally as great family.  Wilbur‘s adoption fee: $600We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. He is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy life, be loved and have a good time bringing smiles to your family. He is good with other dogs and does well on his own as well. He is crate trained, knows how to use the doggy door, and knows how to use a ramp to climb up on a bed to snuggle. Hutch would love to be your new best friend!      Hutch is fully vaccinated (including Rabies), microchipped and neutered.  His adoption fee is $600.
