In fact, she will need a home with friendly, social, and confident canine companions who can help show her that the world isn’t such a scary place. Having other dogs around gives Betty comfort and helps her feel secure. She is crate trained and does well in a large crate with a pee pad available. Betty is mostly potty trained when kept on a regular schedule, though her anxiety can occasionally cause accidents when she’s feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Betty is still learning that walks can be fun. Leash tension can make her nervous, so she does best when walked with both a harness and a slip leash for added safety. Public places are still intimidating for her, and she’ll need a family committed to helping her gain confidence at her own pace. At home, though, Betty’s personality truly shines.
