Hello! We took Kyra in after a couple purchesed her and could not keep up with caring for and their other dog. They weren’t being very nice to her, so we took her in so she would be safe. Our kids renamed her Judo, so she responds to that. She will be 2 years old in December. Unfortunately, we’re a busy family with young kids and we can’t give her the attention she needs. She is very high energy and loves to play with our young kids, she has also been around my parents dog and they get along very well. She is potty trained and crate trained. We hope we can find the right family for her, we’ll miss her dearly but have hope that there’s another family out there that can love her and give her the time she needs.

We found her as a stray in North Carolina while on vacation. Since bringing her home we have taken her to the vet and she is in good health! She is on her last round of deworming medication and is now fully up to date on her vaccines. She’s estimated to be 2-3 years old and has likely had a litter of puppies in the past. She’s not spayed yet, but we would like to make sure whoever takes her plans to get her spayed! We think she’s a beagle/basset hound mix and weighs about 24 pounds. We have another larger dog, a cat, and chickens and she’s proven to do amazing with all other animals! Bonnie is a serious couch potato and if she’s not out sniffing, she’s probably curled up sleeping. She is amazing in the car and usually goes to sleep for longer rides. She’s still working on potty training. She is a runner, and would do best with a large fenced in yard. She loves big dog parks and could sniff for hours! We prefer someone with hound experience.
