Story
You would think a 1.5-year-old beagle mix would spend his days howling dramatically, following his nose into trouble, and causing tiny little acts of chaos.Colt said absolutely not.Instead, this 38-pound weirdo has dedicated his life to carrying around stuffed animals, forcing people to cuddle him, and looking offensively cute at all times.Seriously, Colt is almost suspiciously adorable. The floppy ears. The expressive eyes. The little face. It feels less like looking at a real dog and more like someone designed him in a lab specifically to make people say, “Wait… HIM.”He loves soft toys so much that he treats them like prized possessions, proudly carrying them around wherever he goes. And while he absolutely has playful young dog energy, Colt’s favorite thing is still being close to his people. If there is an opportunity to lean against you, curl up beside you, or climb directly into your personal space for affection, he is taking it.Colt is also dog-friendly and has done well with other dogs, and we think he would likely do well with children, too. He has the kind of goofy, lovable personality that makes him easy to picture becoming part of just about any family.Colt has a huge personality packed into a very cute little body, and honestly, once you meet him, it is hard not to become slightly obsessed with him.We certainly are.Colt's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Story
You know those dogs that are so cute they almost do not look real? That’s Ruger. This 27-pound beagle mix has the kind of face that belongs in a storybook illustration or printed on the front of a vintage children’s novel. The floppy ears. The big round eyes. The little white stripe down his face. Somehow, he always looks both innocent and mildly concerned at the exact same time.If you looked up “cute dog” in the dictionary, we are fairly certain this would be the picture beside it.Ruger is playful, affectionate, and full of personality in the most lovable way. He loves stuffed toys, enjoys a good game of fetch, and is highly motivated by treats and attention. He has done well with other dogs and enjoys being part of the fun, whether that means romping around the yard or trotting beside you like your tiny woodland companion. And once the excitement is over? Ruger is more than happy to curl up beside his people for cuddles and well-earned relaxation.Potential future answer to: “What was the name of your childhood dog?”Ruger's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Story
We got Judo from a neighbor who couldn't care for her anymore. She is about 1 year and a 4 months. We really just want her to have a home where she can have as much freedom as she deserves, one that loves her as much as we do. She's really an amazing dog, she's fun, playful, energetic, but then she also loves to cuddle and relax with you. She's very friendly with other dogs. She is a beaglier so she does bark very loud, but not often.

Story
DAISY came to us after her owner had a bad accident. She is eight years old and a solid girl at about 35-40 lbs. She will be available after her spay surgery mid May 2026.  Daisy is currently in a foster home in Newark Delaware – here is a write-up from her foster mom… “Daisy is  a beautiful, sweet beagle with an amazing personality.    She is a gentle and seems adaptable to any environment. She plays like a puppy and loves toys, people and pets (possibly in that order).   She comes house-trained and is very obedient. She is very adaptable and would do well with a family or an individual looking for a companion dog. She is a beautiful lemon colored beagle whose fur is very soft making her extremely huggable. Even her tail and ears are soft and huggable!  Once she knows you, if you give her a kiss she immediately will give you a gentle kiss right back.  She is house-trained and will go to door repeatedly and let you know if she needs to go out.  Also, she sleeps on the floor and/or in a crate.  If you like feeding the birds feel free to put as many feeders as you like in your yard.  There won’t be any squirrel invaders on her watch.   She also performs perimeter checks to make sure all is well and no critters have dared to enter your yard.  She has a wide vocal selection, as most beagles, but has not done any excessive barking or whining.   She will invoke a serious deep bark if intruders knock on the door and has yelped in pursuit of a squirrels.  She is good eater and not picky and will not be aggressive to other dog’s food but will gobble it up if it is available and unattended. She loves walks. She walks fairly well on a leash with a harness.   She is really special and anyone would be lucky to adopt her!” Daisy is good with other dogs and cats. She will receive pre-surgical bloodwork prior to her spay surgery and will be brought up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm/tick borne disease tested. Adoption $250. Please fill out an application at www.CompAnimals.org if you are interested in adding this lovely lady to your home  May 17, 2026, 7:20 am

Story
Hi there! Looking for a lovable cuddler to bring to your home? Lucy is the perfect companion. She is 7 years old and enjoys short walks and basking in the sun. She is good around other dogs, and great with small children.Unfortunately I am going through a divorce and live alone now, I am out of the house for 12 hours a day for work and have not been able to provide the quality of life I would like Lucy to have. The ideal home for her would be one where she isn’t left alone. She is used to having another dog around and enjoys following my toddler around the house so having kids is a huge plus. Please consider Lucy as an addition to your family!
