This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Zoe is a 5 month old beagle chihuahua mix (DOB 8/14/25). Zoe joined the rescue along with her mom, Missy (also available for adoption), when their senior owner was no longer able to care for them. Zoe is adorable and sweet as can be! She is on the shy side and will bark at people she doesn't know but warms up very quickly once she is comfortable. Zoe is in a foster home with a dog, cat, guinea pigs and young kids and does well with all. She does enjoy chasing the cat and while it's all in good fun, she might be too much for a shy/timid kitty. Zoe sleeps in a crate overnight and keeps her crate clean. She barked in the early morning her first few nights but now sleeps through the night without a peep. She will sometimes have an "excited pee" when getting leashed up for her first potty break of the day, but is otherwise doing excellent with house training. Zoe enjoys fetch and being outside and will make a great adventure buddy. Zoe will be spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and microchipped prior to adoption.
