Meet Mazie, a 3-4 year old beagle/maybe Cavalier King Charles mix weighing 25 pounds. Mazie was recently taken out of a hoarding situation with 46 other dogs. Despite her crazy past, she is a happy, sweet girl that is figuring out life in a less chaotic home environment. Mazie is curious about everything and very much wanting to be near her person. In the short time she's been with me, she appears to be housebroken and crate trained. Mazie is getting interested in the toys here and loves to go for walks. Her beagle nose is to the ground taking in all the smells. She'd also love a fenced yard to run around in and would be a great second dog for someone looking for an easygoing companion for a mild-mannered dog. Not sure how she'd be around cats. Mazie knows how to sit and takes treats gently from your hand. She also knows what people food is and very much wants to partake in eating it. She does jump up on people when she's excited, so needs some work on stopping that. I think she'd be great around kids. Darlene is a 4.5 year-old, 58 lb Beagle/Hound mix whom we adopted when she was about 8 months old. She has been a loving member of our family and is a loyal, affectionate dog with the people she trusts. She enjoys walks, exploring outside, relaxing at home, and spending time with other dogs. She is house-trained and has lived as an indoor family pet. We are making the difficult decision to rehome Darlene after an incident where she bit our young daughter. The incident occurred when our daughter approached her while she was resting and touched her legs, which made her uncomfortable. We have learned that Darlene needs a home where her boundaries are understood and respected. Darlene would do best in an adult-only home with an experienced owner who understands dog behavior and can provide patience, structure, and positive support. She is a sweet dog who deserves a chance. We want to be honest about her history so she can find the right home where she can feel safe, loved, and successful.

Meet Mary, a gorgeous, 18lb, 3-year-old female Beagle who came to us from a hoarding situation. She spent some time in a foster home where they found she is a playful and loving girl who enjoys toys, belly rubs, cuddles, and comfy naps. She will need some patience as she gets to know you and a new environment but has made so much progress already! She worked on potty training in her foster home and made lots of progress with a good routine. Because of her past, she will need time to get used to a normal dog life. Mary is looking for a home with a secure fenced yard and previous beagle experience. She would do best in a home with older, respectful children.Mary is looking for a foster or foster to adopt home. She was recently diagnosed with a general autoimmune disorder, which causes flares when she gets sick. She responds well to the medication she gets for the flare ups, so our vet did not feel she needs to be on a long term med at this time to manage the condition. If interested in Mary, our staff would be happy to discuss further or answer questions!
