Crumpet is a sweetheart of Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog mix who we originally adopted as a puppy from a shelter. Due to a recent divorce and long work hours, I’m no longer able to give her the time and attention she deserves, and I want to find her a home where she can truly thrive. Crumpet is:-Housetrained and very treat oriented-A lover of long walks, squirrels, and tug of war-Skilled at playing fetch w/a frisbee or ball-A fan of car rides and getting ‘pup cups’ as a treat-A snuggler-Spayed, vaccinated, and weighs about 23lbs w bday of 2/14/24Crumpet does best when she isn’t left alone for long periods as she is currently experiencing some separation anxiety while I’m at work. While she previously lived w/2 large dogs, she can be shy meeting new dogs and takes a little time to warm up. She is also sensitive to loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms. I am looking for a loving home that can provide the consistent companionship and attention she needs to feel secure.

Born: December 10, 2025 I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $550 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. Sydney is a Mama dog that is about 1 year old. Her previous owner told the shelter he left her and her 2 day old puppies at, that she is a Beagle/great Pyranese mix. She was not treated well at her previous home and is very human shy. We are working hard, along with her great foster home, to show her what love and care are. Her pups are tri colored and will be available in February. If you have any questions on Mama or pups or would like to make a donation to their care, please contact us.

She enjoys going on walks, playing with puzzle toys, and sunbathing outside when the weather is nice. She’s also crate trained and does well in her crate. At night, she turns into a total cuddle bug. If you’re laying on the couch watching TV with a blanket, she’ll happily curl up between your legs and start snoring. She is a very smart dog who will pick things up quickly but can be a little stubborn at times, which comes with the hound territory. She can jump surprisingly high and because of that, a tall, fenced yard would be ideal for her. She’s a sweet, curious girl who is looking for a family to take her on long walks and give her lots of love and treats. We have not gotten her tested, but we think she is allergic to grass and chicken. Our vet has given her a cytopoint shot that helps with her allergies when they are strongest.
