The 'other' family didn't want me and just dropped me off at the shelter. I just lost my person and now have lost my home too! But I'm still a loving sweet boy that would love to have another person(s) to bestow all my love! I am so ready for Christmas, is Santa coming to grant my wish? I am a total sweetheart that will have your heart wrapped right around my little paw in no time flat! I love people both tall and small and do fantastic with other pups and even the resident kitty too!! I am house broken and crate trained, letting us get right to the fun stuff right away!! I like going for our walks around the property but I'm more of a meanderer then a cruiser. I'm at that stage in my life where I like to stop and smell the flowers instead of bulldozing right over them! And there's not much that beats a good splash in the river on those walks. Coming in at around 50lbs I could stand to lose a few pounds so those walks will sure help with that. I would make a great companion type pup for someone retired or that works from home. This handsome fellow is Tango, a 4-year-old mixed breed who is the perfect size at 35 pounds! When Tango first arrived, he was very shy, but since then he has really blossomed. He's a happy smiling dog who sometimes prances when he walks! Tango is affectionate and good with other dogs after a brief introduction, enjoys playing ball and tug, and loves chew toys. He is gentle when he plays with dogs smaller than himself. He is also content to play with his toys by himself. Tango is still a little shy when he meets someone new, but after a while, he starts getting close. He gets along well with everyone and makes friends everywhere he goes. He enjoys walks and car rides, and is completely house-trained as well as doggie door-trained. His favorite activities are snuggling with his person, being petted, and playing with his toys. He doesn't care for crates, but that's okay because he doesn't need crating in the house. At night, Tango sleeps contentedly in a dog bed near his people, or on the couch reserved for dogs. Tango enjoys company and would prefer having doggie friends to be with him during the day. He also requires a fenced yard. He knows a few basic commands and loves being a good dog. He is so smart and quick to learn that we know he would love being challenged in a training class, where he can learn new things. Daisy Mae is about as sweet as she can be despite her recent life changes. She had a human for her 1st, 3+ years of life and was loved by him. He apparently got himself in some trouble and could no longer care for her. His relatives decided a rescue was best for her. We can say, his loss is your gain. You would be hard pressed to find a more perfect girl. She's roughly 3 1/2 years old, housebroken, crate-trained although she will not need to be crated, she happy just chilling with her people. She's a bit of a plus size girl at 65 lbs, but you don't even realize her size she is that gentle. She would be a wonderful companion for a retired or work from home person, as she loves attention and her person. Daisy Mae would love to have a little yard to sun in, but an walk or two a day would also please her. Daisy is fully vetted and ready to go.
