*ADOPTION SPECIAL- REDUCED FEE $200* This is Skipper! We believe that he is a Beagle/Pittie mix. Skipper came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells on August 23rd. He was brought to us with his brother after they were found as strays. Since he has been in care, staff members say that he is a very friendly boy who loves playtime and affection. He gets along well with other dogs and seems to like every person he meets! The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, neuter, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption. Beagle/boxer mix 4 1/2 - year-old 35 lbs. Ronnie is a high energy beagle mix and loves to play. He is good with other dogs as he lives with a 13 year old Yorkie.  Probably would need slower introductions  to new dogs. He'd do best with another energetic same size dog in the home. He's a confident dog, who thinks he's a big dog. He can be somewhat intimidated by much larger dogs. He is house trained and also crate trained.  He's been around kids so with proper introductions he should be fine with older kids.  Due to his energy level, he may be too much for smaller kids. Ronnie is good with new people he meets but can be somewhat cautious until he gets to know you. Ronnie will require a fenced yard as he loves to chase squirrels and birds. He is working on leash training. This little guy is just a big wiggle butt and happy to see his foster dad when he comes home from work. Ronnie has recently graduated from the 12 Week Puppies for Parole training program offered through the Mo Department of Corrections.  While in training he was taught basic obedience and socialization skills.  He has learned various commands such as sit, stay, paw, heel, etc … and has acquired his good canine citizen honor. Ronnie’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
