Story
Friends of ours found Arie about a month ago and were unable to keep her so we took her in. She is not microchipped, and we have exhausted our resources to find her family. When she was found, Arie had raw paws that had become infected and was infested with fleas. She was taken to the vet, and has been through a round of antibiotics and pain meds. She has also been treated for fleas and no longer has them. The vet estimated she is around 5 or 6 years old and is in perfect health, now that her paws have healed. Arie is working on house training and is doing well so far! She will have accidents if not taken out often enough and has learned “no”. She seems to have been an outside dog and has no other manners. Arie is food/treat aggressive. She is also aggressive towards cats. Arie is quite literally the sweetest dog and loves all people, of all ages. She’s very calm and loves chew toys!

Story
Meet Penelope Rose, the sweetest hound mix with a heart full of love! This gentle girl is the total package—potty trained, crate trained, well-mannered, people of all ages (she loves kids) and dog friendly. She’s non-reactive to dogs and people while walking, making her an easygoing companion for any adventure, however she is a strong puller and is still working on her leash manners. At home, she’s just as wonderful—non-destructive and perfectly content being left alone, even uncrated, for hours without a single mishap. She knows how to sit, has no resource guarding issues, and loves every person she meets, greeting them with tail wags, hugs, and plenty of kisses. Penelope Rose has a few adorable quirks, like her classic hound “point,” where she lifts her paw as if she’s on the hunt. While she’s an all-around sweetheart, she does have a high prey drive and isn’t suited for a home with cats. Penelope is a LifeSaver dog, which means she comes with a bag of goodies to not only help her succeed in her new home, but to thrive! Our training team is also always happy to help, free of charge, with ensuring a smooth transition into a loving home and any issues that may appear. With her calm and docile nature, affectionate spirit, and impeccable manners, Penelope Rose is an absolute gem. She’s more than ready to find a cat-free forever home where she can share her endless love and gentle companionship!

Buffy is currently living in a foster home and this is what her foster mom has to say about this sweetie. 'She might be considered a 'senior' dog to some, but she is still very full of life and love! She will be waiting by the door for you when you come home full of excitement! Buffy is a true 'shadow dog' who will not want to leave your side whether you are working around the house or settled in on the couch. If you are looking for a companion dog with lots of snuggles, Buffy is your girl!'Buffy gets along with the dog and cat; even though she barks at the dog when she feels like it. Buffy enjoys car rides. She has a sweet, happy demeanor. She does great with kids.Buffy is 8 years old and weighs 34 lbs.The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Chelsea - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hey all you fabulous people out there, let me introduce myself. I'm Chelsea and I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I am a beautiful gal both on the inside and out with the sweetest face around! I’ve lived a lot of lives in my short time here on earth, including being a momma to lots of pups, but I’ve never had a real family of my own. Unfortunately a couple months ago I had an accident and hurt my leg and had to get it removed. However, it hasn’t stopped me one bit! I get around amazingly with 3 legs and am still super fast and playful! A few things I like to do is play with toys, sunbathe, follow my foster mom around, and watch tv! I’m also a huge cuddle bug and think naps are the best! Oh, and I absolutely love my belly rubbed! I am very obedient, calm, and gentle, and get along with all dogs, cats, and humans I meet! I know I would be a great fit into a family looking for a loving companion with a kind soul! I'm about a year old and coming in at just around 38lbs, I don't take up a whole lot of room on the couch, in the car or on the bed!! I'm that perfectly pawsome size for ALL adventures, from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting! I'm gonna have a blast doing them with you whether it's a leisurely neighborhood stroll, going on sniffaris on those nature trails, sleeping on the ground on camping trips, co-piloting errands runs or just chillin in the yard supervising yard work. I am a social gal that loves her people both tall and small and I do great with all the other pups here at my foster home and I even do good with the resident kitties. I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness and be that lil heartbeat at your feet. So, if you think I could be a pawsome fit for you and your lifestyle, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application! It can be found at haydudeequine.org
