Back in February 2026 my husband was told by a guy there was dog that was needing rehomed. My husband brought him home and he truly is a good boy. He loves my kids and he doesn't mess with our cat. Unfortunately, with our busy schedules we can't take him anywhere, cooper needs to be with someone who can take him out into the woods or field to allow him too explore (where he was before, when he was picked up). Cooper always is on the hunt for something and we don't have the space for it as we live in town. He has to be on a leash or he will run off, we rent our home so we cannot put a fence up to keep him in the yard. We have talked about putting him up for adoption several times and backed out of it but this time I think it's our best option. We believe this is what's best for our boy and his hunting blood.💜

These 3 little beagle babies came in to rescue as an owner surrender. This was an older gentleman that had them and could not care for them. He said they came from a litter of 7 and he had these 3 left. Said he found homes for the others. They seemed to be in decent condition, however they were covered in fleas. Their first stop was a flea bath and meds. They are now current on their vaccinations, deworming, heartworm and flea prevention. There is one little girl out of the 2 that is a bit more shy than her brother and sister, she is very sweet but could use a bit more snuggles than the other 2. These puppies are doing great and ready to find homes. They will go home on spay/neuter contract as our vet does not spay/neuter puppies under 6 months of age. Meet Dom, a 5 1/2 year old beagle mix. Dom came to AWL with a small dog who he did great with. He doesn't seem to be great with cats. While he hasn't gotten close enough to hurt one he definitely wanted to chase them. Dom is sweet and loves affection. Don't be fooled by his missing hair, he really is a handsome man. He was infested with fleas so all that itching left him with missing hair. It has slowly started to come back though and we know he will be a beautiful dog real soon! Dom is very vocal and cries and cries when he wants something but at least that's better than barking! Dom could fit into most homes as he has the energy to play but still likes to relax and be with his people. In typical beagle fashion Dom would be great with kids! Ryder was saved after his owner threatened to shoot him for not being a good hunting dog. We had planned to keep him as a buddy for our beagle (our other passed away), however with the number of dogs in our rescue, it is only fair to Ryder to have a home of his own. He is a wonderful dog with typical beagle behavior. He was abused so I would not suggest small children or children who do not understand to pet softly. He loves to be loved on and is understanding that he is safe now. He is not a hunting dog and needs to be indoor. He is full-blooded but he did not come with papers (if that is important).

Please help Archie find a good home. Unfortunately, my husband's mental health condition is making keeping him too stressful. Archie will need a home with Adults and older kids only. He is not aggressive ever - unless you come between him and his food or attempt to clean his ears or trim his nails. He's a big overgrown baby! He loves to snuggle with you in bed and knows all basic commands like sit and stay. He is house trained and crate trained. He will beg for food and will chase animals in your yard. He really is a good dog! He's about 4 but his personality seems older. Please help him out! My kids are so sad we have to adopt him out but I have to prioritize and reduce stress at home. We would very much appreciate him going to a family that will send us an occasional picture. He does well with other dogs. He's never been around cats. Looking for a kind person to be kind to our Archie!! <3
