Story
Ryder was saved after his owner threatened to shoot him for not being a good hunting dog. We had planned to keep him as a buddy for our beagle (our other passed away), however with the number of dogs in our rescue, it is only fair to Ryder to have a home of his own. He is a wonderful dog with typical beagle behavior. He was abused so I would not suggest small children or children who do not understand to pet softly. He loves to be loved on and is understanding that he is safe now. He is not a hunting dog and needs to be indoor. He is full-blooded but he did not come with papers (if that is important).

Chewy is a 4 year old who has lived through far more than any dog should. His life prior to Sketchy Mutts was very sad, and he is just learning to trust humans and enjoy the comforts of his new foster home. Despite his rough past, Chewy is a sweetheart. He loves to play and snuggle, and seems so eager to please. He does occasionally get vocal and growly when being asked to do something he doesn’t want to do (like go in his crate 🙄🙄) but with a little patience, Chewy will do just about anything for you. He is currently in a foster home with a male dog and a cat, both of whom he's doing quite well with. He is still a bit unsure of the cat, and gets short, supervised visits, but he seems interested more than anything. Chewy deserves the very best, and we're here to help him find it. Story
Hi, my name is Honey and I'm a recovering weirdo. My perfect day consists of snacks, exploring the outdoors and cuddles. I was really scared of just about everything once but I'm working on it. Things I have learned to do confidently in the last year are: walking on a leash, meeting new people, and meeting new dogs. I'm still working on walking past appliances while they're running and fast movement still makes me pancake. Sometimes, if I get nervous or if I just don't wanna do what you wanna do, I'll need you to come pick me up and get me to where I need to go. The one thing I seem to enjoy more than anything at all is frolicking in a thunderstorm. For this reason, I am requiring my new home to have a fenced yard and a human that doesn't mind me coming in looking like a drowned rat. My foster parents make me come in if the storm gets too dangerous but I am usually very wet. I am fine with dog friends and I think I could learn to love a cat friend. Young children may be a bit too much for me but I'm open to conversation. Rocket is now ready for adoption! This sweet and SMART boy is approximately 10 months old and 48 lbs. He has a lot of puppy energy and habits, but is also extremely food motivated and trainable. The foster's daughter taught him within 2 days to sit and wait before a ball is thrown! He is good with kids, but does jump. He does not live with other animals in his foster home but we suspect he would do just fine with other dogs and probably needs a home without cats. He is way too smart for his own good, so he will need a home that is willing to provide him with mental stimulation and training. He has already mastered puzzle toys and the foster is waiting on a more challenging one to arrive. He loves being around people and wants to be your shadow. He has also has all of the traits that people typically look for in service animals and may benefit from a thorough evaluation if anyone is looking for a potential service dog to train. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm negative

Meet Tessa! A 3 year old beagle English bulldog mix. I guess one of them designer Mutts. Beautiful dog indeed she is but..... Takes a very patient , willing, and very understanding person to adopt Tessa. Sadly she has had 3 homes and everyone quit as she was all over the map (she is much better now). She does it all and has no care as she does NOT HIDE WHEN DOING NAUGHTY THINGS. She is a total sweet heart. Bless her heart! She is just mischievous as hell! We are working hard to eliminate those awful behaviors. All while on a strict diet and lots of exercise through out the day. In the last few months she has lost good weight (she was too fat), has learned, and accepts correction, and progress is being made with basic obedience training. She is great when asked to stay still for baths, nail trimming, teeth brushing, ear cleaning finally! She is cat, dog, and kid friendly too! Tessa is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.
