Everybody meet Bunnie!! This little sweetie is up for adoption and is super loving. She loves people and other dogs. She keeps her kennel really clean so we think she will be easy to housetrain. Bunnie has mid level energy and is around 40 pounds. We just don't know why she has been overlooked for so long! Life there was harsh—food was scarce, danger was constant, and survival was never guaranteed. At some point, Belle suffered a broken hind leg that healed crooked, leaving a visible reminder of her struggles. But Belle never let her past slow her down. She walks, runs, and plays like any other dog, and the only thing she carries from her injury is her remarkable resilience. The leg doesn’t affect her daily life, though we keep an eye on it since the skin there is thin. What truly defines Belle is not her scar, but her sweet, gentle nature and her quiet determination to love and be loved. This beautiful purebred Beagle girl called Brittany is our pride and joy to offer to a Beagle loving family. Her story is sad and one that will make you sad and mad all rolled in to one roller coaster of emotions. A young newly wed couple were driving from their home in Chattanooga, on their way to a honeymoon in Nashville, TN. Out of the corner of their eye while driving, they saw a truck pulled over and pushing this girl out onto the side of the road and then drive away. They owned two dogs of their own and it broke their heart to see such meanness. She was in a desperate situation. They pulled over and took her in to their car and then started making calls to shelters and rescues in the Nashville area where they were destined to arrive in a few hours. They got Critter Cavalry on the phone and we stepped up to take her in immediately and we would make sure she had a future family who would never do such a horrible thing as to abandon her. What we have found out with Brittany is that she is a happy and inviting girl who loves to play with other dogs and who loves to spoken to with kindness. She craves love which we are sure she got little of before. Her fav game is to chase a ball. She is young as in probably a year or 2 at the oldest and she weighs 26 pounds. She is being spayed 10/23 and has already started her shots and worming. She is picture perfect if you want a Beagle or small dog that is not tiny but resilient and fun and loving. We know she loves couches and dog company for playtime and hanging out. She’s housebroken and will definitely need a fenced yard to keep that Beagle nose safely within sight of your back door. Meet Chance Some dogs are given a name that fits them perfectly, and Chance is one of them. This sweet 5-year-old Beagle mix received his name because he was given a second chance at life—and he has embraced it with his whole heart. Chance came from a hoarding/ animal abuse case where his owners were consequently arrest, arrested. Despite everything he's been through, Chance has never lost his love for people. His tail still wags, his eyes still light up when he sees you, and he still believes that his forever family is out there waiting for him. Chance is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with his people, and has a gentle, loving personality that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. He is a little on the chubby side at 56lbs and loves to be a couch potato, though we have put him on an exercise regimen and a diet. Chance is currently heartworm positive, but that doesn't define who he is. He is receiving treatment and deserves the comfort of a loving home while he completes his journey to recovery. His future is bright, and all he needs now is someone willing to give him the love and security he has always deserved.Chance was given a second chance at life. Minnie’s Story Minnie is a one yr old female Hound Beagle mix that was rescued as a stray from a Southern rescue. She is high energy and recommend an enclosed fenced in yard to allow her to roam freely. Minnie loves to retrieve tennis balls, soccer balls and frisbees. She loves car rides and walks. Minnie loves other dogs but can be excitable when she first sees them. She loves going to dog parks. Since Minnie is very excitable we think she should be around older kids. She got along with our older cat but a slow introduction for cats is preferred. She is highly food motivated and likes to chew so keep plenty of chew toys and treats on hand. Minnie is house trained. We have left her for no more than 4 or 5 hours at a time and she does fine with our other dog in the house. So a companion dog might be good for her to play with. She loves human companionship and sleeps in our bed at night. In summary Minnie is a high energy dog so a fenced in yard is preferred.
