Story
Meet Belle, a gentle soul with unshakable strength and a heart full of love. Belle’s story began behind a Piggly Wiggly in Camden, AL, where she lived alongside her friends Lizzie and Buster. Life there was harsh—food was scarce, danger was constant, and survival was never guaranteed. At some point, Belle suffered a broken hind leg that healed crooked, leaving a visible reminder of her struggles. But Belle never let her past slow her down. She walks, runs, and plays like any other dog, and the only thing she carries from her injury is her remarkable resilience. The leg doesn’t affect her daily life, though we keep an eye on it since the skin there is thin. What truly defines Belle is not her scar, but her sweet, gentle nature and her quiet determination to love and be loved. With her soft eyes and tender heart, Belle is ready for a forever home where she’ll be cherished for the survivor she is. If you’re looking for a companion who embodies grace, courage, and unconditional love, Belle is waiting to meet you.

Minnie’s Story 🌟 MEET YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND: The Sweetest Beagle Mix! 🌟

Are you looking for a "ready-made" companion who is as playful and energetic as she is cute? Meet our 1-year-old Beagle Mix who was a stray and from a rescue in the South. She recently joined our rescue and has been a total "pleasant surprise" from day one.

Why she’s the perfect match:

House Manners: Mostly housebroken. 🏠✨

The Ultimate Snuggler: She absolutely loves her dog bed but would prefer to be right next to you in the big bed.

Car & Leash Pro: She rides like a dream in the car but does pull a bit on leash. 🚗🐕

Playful: She’s a huge fan of tennis balls and soccer balls and will happily retrieve them for you. While she's a "chewer," she is incredibly respectful of her plush toys and has never destroyed a "stuffy." 🎾⚽

Temperament: She is an intelligent girl learning to be more social. When she first arrived she would not climb stairs but soon mastered that. She is highly food motivated and will follow you around for treats. She loves to play with our dog who is very passive so it would be best to pair her with another dog matching her energy. ❤️

Ideal Home:

She would thrive in a home that appreciates a medium-high energy dog who loves a good nap as much as a game of fetch. A fenced in yard is recommended since she loves to be outside. She is learning to be more sociable by not jumping up and barking at all dogs she sees. She would thrive in a home that appreciates a high energy dog who loves a good nap as much as a game of fetch. She would love a companion dog of her energy to play with. She sniffs the cat in her foster home but does not chase. She is fine with children but needs to be reminded not to jump up on them when she first meets them. Using a photo of her on a Dog Scanner app it showed Minnie as a mixed breed between a Braque Saint-Germain (13.4%), Labrador Retriever (13.1%), Jack Russell Terrier (13.1%) and a Beagle (10.3%). Minnie is fostered in Brunswick. Adoption fee is $475 If you do not hear from us after a week, please reach out to Passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

Story
I acquired Henry three years ago as a rescue from Georgia. He is 7 years old and still active. He is very affectionate and craves attention. He would love to spend the day in someone's lap. Unfortunately I no longer have the time he needs due to health issues. I am not around much and he is not living his best life. I am hoping to find someone that can give him the attention he deserves.

Story
Lady Lucy – Sweet Survivor  Some dogs have a way of capturing your heart the moment you meet them, and Lady Lucy is certainly one of those dogs. Though her past appears to have been filled with uncertainty, she has emerged from it with a gentle spirit, a loving heart, and an unwavering belief that good things are still ahead. Lady Lucy was one of nine dogs discovered living in a remote wooded area of Middle Tennessee after they were apparently abandoned when their owner fell on difficult times. No one knows exactly how long they survived on their own, but their situation touched the hearts of many rescue volunteers who came together to help. With patience, food, water, and kindness, the dogs were gradually brought to safety. Rescue groups across the region stepped forward to help, and Critter Cavalry Rescue was fortunate enough to welcome Lady Lucy into its care. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that Lucy had once known the comforts of a home. She settled in beautifully and quickly showed everyone what a wonderful companion she is. At just over a year old and weighing 32 pounds, Lucy is the perfect size for a family looking for a smaller dog with a big heart. She appears to be a delightful mix of Corgi and Beagle, though her most remarkable feature is her personality. She is affectionate, gentle, and full of love, with the easygoing nature often found in hound breeds. Whether she's relaxing beside you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room, Lucy simply wants to be close to her people. She is fully grown, crate trained, housebroken, and has excellent manners in the home. Lucy currently lives successfully with other dogs and does very well in an active household with teenagers, but she has made it clear that she would not mind having a little less competition for attention. After all she has been through, we think she would happily embrace a life where she can enjoy a bit more of the spotlight and receive the princess treatment she believes is rightfully hers. Lady Lucy has a way of looking into your eyes that makes you feel like you've known each other forever. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds, offers unwavering companionship, and fills a home with warmth and comfort. Her difficult past has not diminished her capacity to love; if anything, it seems to have made her even more appreciative of every kindness she receives. Now all that remains is for the right family to find her. Lady Lucy is packed and ready for her next adventure, with an open heart and a hopeful spirit. She is ready to leave her difficult past behind and begin the life she has always deserved with a family who will cherish her as the special girl she truly is. To learn more about Lady Lucy or to request an adoption application, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 18, 2026, 12:01 pm
