Story
Meet Raya, a 5-year-old spayed Beagle who is ready to find her forever family. 🧡🐾 Raya has safely landed in foster care and is now looking for an adopter who will give her the calm, loving home she deserves. She’s a gentle, loyal girl who thrives with stability, routine, and people who understand that trust is something special to build. Here’s what makes Raya such a wonderful companion: • 🐶 Does well with dogs after slow, thoughtful introductions • 👩 Friendly with women, older kids, and strangers • 🚽 Fully house trained • 🐕 Loves daily walks and dog park adventures • 💛 Loyal, affectionate, and deeply bonded once she trusts you • 🎓 Knows basic obedience Raya can be a little protective of “her person” and appreciates being given time to settle in and get comfortable with new people and dogs. She does best when introductions are calm and expectations are gentle. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines and she becomes an incredibly devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Raya has done the hard part—she made it through the transition and is ready for the next chapter. Now she’s looking for a family who will give her the patience, consistency, and love she needs to truly feel at home. If you’re searching for a loyal sidekick with a gentle heart and lots of love to give, Raya would love to meet you. 🧡🐾

Story
This is Tortoise🐢 Named for his beautiful coloring but fits his demeanor as-well. Tortoise is proof that chill can be cool! Tortoise is about 7 years old and has all the perks of being a dog that age. He can still act like a puppy at playtime but is happy to cuddle right up for snuggle time. His favorite time of day is cuddling up for TV time, and also getting his morning zoomies out in the yard. Tortoise would love other dog siblings in the home, but would happily be your only companion, provided that you spend a lot of time at home. No Cats or other small creatures, unlike turtles, Tortoise has a strong prey drive. He also shows some signs of separation anxiety, so would prefer time alone to be minimal. Tortoise will need some help with leash etiquette; he has a strong prey drive so will pull towards critters. He loves to be involved with whatever you're doing. Special talents include: "helping" to change the sheets on the beds (if you need a dog to sit right on them, he's your guy), worming his way onto a warm lap for cuddles, and can even dry himself off after going out in the rain (provided a human puts down a towel for him). If you think Tortoise is turtley the Dog for you, apply to meet him today! 💚 Tortoise is from Texas.

Story
Location: Minneapolis, MN Molly has a great personality; she is a very curious and happy girl. She's potty trained and kennel trained. She sleeps in the kennel at night and spends time in it during the day while the door is open too. Molly enjoys running around the yard and grabbing stuffies to snuggle and play with in her kennel. She loves people and does well with other dogs in the house. Molly doesn't bark much. She's fairly low maintenance and would make a great companion! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Loki is the sweetest boy with people he knows; he cuddles so close you’d think he’s apart of you! Unfortunately with people he doesn’t know, mainly with men, Loki may show aggressive tendencies, and needs some time to warm up! Once he knows people, he is wonderful and wants to be right by you. Loki would thrive in a laidback home where his owner is a homebody. He does well with cats and dogs with proper introductions. He would benefit from no kids due to their lack of predictability. If you want to know more about Loki we would love to hear from you!

Story
Chickadee was abandoned in an apartment for 6 days before being brought into the shelter, where he was then rescued into a foster home. Now he's on his way to Minnesota for a fresh start! Chickadee is looking for a home where he can continue to decompress from his traumatic experience; he still struggles with being kenneled and is loud about his unhappiness being separated/confined. He's a sweet guy who deserves someone with the patience to help him learn that he is safe and loved, even if sometimes the humans have to go to work! Chickadee is wonderful with the kids in his foster home, he lets them cuddle and play til their hearts' content! He is a bit cautious of new people at first, but is soon ready to romp and play with a little encouragement. He has been working hard on potty training and making awesome progress. Chickadee is great with kids, cats, other dogs and people. He deserves a loving, patient home and is sure to repay you with all the goofy and loving energy he can muster. Chickadee is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 7/25/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.

Story
Meet Lana, a sweet and playful girl with a gentle heart and a love for canine companionship. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a moment—and especially a dog friend—and you’ll see her blossom into a happy, affectionate companion. Lana truly thrives with other dogs and would do best in a home with a confident canine buddy to help her feel safe and bring out her playful side. She loves to run, chase, and wrestle, and has a blast playing with squeaky toys—sometimes tossing them in the air herself just to keep the fun going. A fenced yard is ideal for her, as she enjoys zooming around at full speed and feels most secure in her own space. While Lana walks nicely on a leash, she can be startled by loud noises like traffic or sudden sounds and may try to bolt. She’s much more confident when walking alongside a trusted dog friend, and overall feels safest at home or in a familiar yard. At home, Lana is a joy—she greets you with a wagging tail, loves pets and companionship, and enjoys simply being near her person. She’s fully potty trained, does well in her kennel, and can also be trusted outside of it. She already knows “sit” and “lie down,” and isn’t destructive. Lana would do best in a quieter home without shared walls, as she can be sensitive to loud noises and may bark in response. With the right environment and a dog friend by her side, Lana will continue to grow in confidence and show just how loving and playful she truly is.
