Story
Harlowe is a Beagle/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is 6 months old, and currently weighs 25 lbs. Harlowe was a local owner surrender. Harlowe is a sweet pup who adores people. When she sees her favorite people, she is the biggest wiggle butt ever!  She is currently living with 2 other foster dogs, about her same size, and they all get along great. She actually puts up with a lot from the other puppies, but when she's had enough, she definitely lets them know that!  Out of the 3 pups in the foster home, Harlowe is definitely the most mellow.  When Harlowe first arrived at her foster mom's house, her foster mom noticed some resource guarding and food aggression. But she has been working hard with her on that, and she is showing great improvement!  She was not potty trained, but was a very fast learner and has had very few accidents so far. She always lets us know when it's time to go out and potty! Harlowe is not a fan of car rides, unfortunately. The car can make her sick at times. But she's getting more used to it as time goes on.  Harlowe's foster mom is currently working on properly socializing her with other dogs. She does great with dogs her same size, but does bark at bigger dogs when she sees them. She is not aggressive towards them, just very loud.  Harlowe is spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and microchipped!  If you would like to meet this sweet girl, please fill out the dog adoption application on our website www.aohrescue.org/forms and a meet and greet can be set up!  ##2601211##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Stacy is a sweet, playful, and independent girl.. She still has her puppy energy and enjoys playtime, but when it’s time to relax, she’s more than happy to cuddle up with her favorite humans. She’s affectionate and expressive — when you pet her, she smiles and shows her happiness with the most adorable little tongue “blehps.” She has a graceful, agile way about her, almost cat-like in how she moves and carries herself. Despite not having much formal training, Stacy is a very good listener and already obeys commands well, she will be enjoyable for her future family to train and watch her blossom. Stacy seems to prefer people over other dogs, but having another dog in the home is not a deal breaker. She just needs a bit of time and patience to warm up and adjust. Her love for food is very strong — she begs and trends toward food-obsessed — which is likely a result of her past. Stacy was found alongside her sister in the middle of a busy road, searching for food, and it’s believed she experienced starvation before being rescued. With consistency, love, and reassurance, she continues to learn that she is safe now. Stacy is happiest in a home that can provide structure, patience, and consistency, along with plenty of love, attention, and enrichment. She’s a thoughtful, affectionate companion who will thrive with someone who appreciates her unique personality. Stacy is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 1/10 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8am-Noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Loopy!  Loopy is a sweet, affectionate little puppy who thrives on love and closeness. She absolutely adores physical touch—from her humans and her littermate alike—and can often be found sleeping all tangled up with him. She’s gentle, loving, and happily accepts affection from everyone she’s met so far. Loopy is curious about the resident dogs and does just fine around them, though she’s still a bit too small to fully join in their play. Here’s a sweet video   of Loopy playing. She’s learning quickly when it comes to going outside, but as a very young puppy, she isn’t housetrained yet. True to her age, Loopy sleeps a lot and has short bursts of playful energy, followed by long cuddle sessions—especially in a warm lap. She does well in her kennel at night, waking as needed for potty breaks or meals. With her adorable face, sweet puppy kisses, and love of snuggling right up under your chin, Loopy is the kind of pup who will instantly steal your heart.  Loopy is from a local reservation. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Brooks is a playful, sweet-hearted pup who will always make you smile! He loves to entertain himself (and you!) by tossing his toys in the air and catching them.  He’s a one-dog comedy show. When he’s not clowning around, he’s a total cuddlebug who loves curling up in your lap for snuggles and sleeping through the night (preferably in bed with his person). Brooks is doing well with housetraining. He’s had just one accident and keeps his kennel clean. He weighs about 25 pounds and is great on a leash, enjoying walks and the company of other dogs. He recently met a neighbor’s similar-sized female dog and, after a proper introduction, play-bowed and had a great time! He has done well in the kennel and has not shown reactivity when being let out. He was initially reactive when in his kennel.  Because Brooks is young, energetic, and still learning boundaries, he would do best in a home with no kids. He can be mouthy and sometimes treats hands like toys, so he’ll need continued guidance and consistency. Brooks can also be protective of his food and high-value items like a Kong, so care should be taken during mealtimes and when giving chews or toys.  When taking treats, though, he’s been gentle. With time, patience, and positive reinforcement, Brooks will continue to grow into the confident, loving companion he’s meant to be. Originally from Texas, this charming little guy is ready to find his forever family! Brooks is from Texas.
