Story
Maggie is 7 years old and is active. She needs a yard to run around and play in and I am unable to give her that. She is full of personality and is very loving and gentle. She enjoys following mom around the house and "helping" with household tasks. Maggie is fully potty trained and kennel trained. She sleeps all night in her kennel with a soft bed and blanket. She is very well behaved and listens very well. She is strong and gets excited when on the leash. She will need help with leash training if someone wants to walk her frequently. She is used to being with another dog - a 12 year old beagle. She loves her food and treats and will let us know when it's time for food. Usually in the evening she enjoys sitting on the couch with her people and watching TV. We love her so much, but have decided that she could benefit from more love and a yard.

Story
DOB: 3/14/26                                  Current Weight(as of 5/28/26): 6 Lbs. Adoption Fee: $275 includes 1 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Harper is a 4-month-old puppy of personality, love, and nonstop puppy energy. She is playful, curious, and always ready for her next adventure — whether that’s zooming around the yard, wrestling with dog friends, or exploring everything around her. She is VERY active and will need a family that can keep up with busy puppy life. A securely fenced yard is required for Harper and we have recently found out that she can climb chainlink so she will need a solid wood type fence. She would thrive in a home with another playful dog or with active families who enjoy walks, playtime, and lots of interaction. Even with all her energy, she has a sweet snuggly side. Once worn out from playing, she loves nothing more than curling up close for cuddles and naps. She is affectionate, loving, and eager to be part of a family.  Like all puppies, she is still learning house manners and routines, so their new families should be prepared to continue training with patience and consistency. With love, structure, and exercise, she will make a wonderful companion! Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.  Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Sweetpea is truly an incredible dog. Fully kennel trained and potty trained. She is still in her adolescent phase, but she has an excellent off switch, when home relaxing, she’s usually the first to curl up and fall asleep cuddling on the couch. When it’s time to train or play, she immediately engages and is eager to work.Sweetpea is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She would make an amazing partner for sport as she is a very driven dog. She LOVES frisbee and her nose work is also incredible. She would thrive best in a sport home and someone who has the time for her active life style.Sweet Pea hangs out and plays with our dogs but sometimes she snaps at them. Even though she is mostly good with our dogs, I do think she would be better in a home where she is the only pet. She has never severely injured another dog. She just gets annoyed with them sometimes and snaps at them. She is great with kids. Our 10 year old is her favorite human.

Story
Meet Rosie! Rosie is a rambunctious 4-month-old hound mix who’s ready to play all day! She absolutely loves fetch, tug of war, and chewing on bones. She plays well with other dogs, is doing great with potty training and sleeps through the night in her kennel. Rosie would do amazing in a home with other dogs and a fenced yard, although she is smart and can adapt to many environments. Rosie will come with age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $375. Apply to adopt Rosie today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.
