Story
Shorty is the best dog I've ever known. I love him. He is a bit older now, so he really loves a good spot that's comfy for a nap, his dragon stuffed toy, and to just be near his people. He's so nice. I just cannot take care of him anymore due to mental health and having a new baby. I really wish someone would give him a good home for his final years. He deserves it.

Story
Darcy is happy go lucky ready for her next big adventure! She turned up as a stray in a local trailer park- rumor is her owner moved and left her behind. We were unable to locate her owners to figure out what happened. She is playful and has really warmed up to the staff at the shelter! Darcy get excited when you first see her and sometimes “smiles” or shows her teeth- she isn’t being mean it’s just a nervous excited gesture she does. We think she is pretty cute and can’t wait to see her excel at the P4P training program!

Story
Sweetpea is truly an incredible dog. Fully kennel trained and potty trained. She is still in her adolescent phase, but she has an excellent off switch, when home relaxing, she’s usually the first to curl up and fall asleep cuddling on the couch. When it’s time to train or play, she immediately engages and is eager to work.Sweetpea is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She would make an amazing partner for sport as she is a very driven dog. She LOVES frisbee and her nose work is also incredible. She would thrive best in a sport home and someone who has the time for her active life style.Sweet Pea hangs out and plays with our dogs but sometimes she snaps at them. Even though she is mostly good with our dogs, I do think she would be better in a home where she is the only pet. She has never severely injured another dog. She just gets annoyed with them sometimes and snaps at them. She is great with kids. Our 10 year old is her favorite human.

Story
🐾 Meet Carly We’re still getting to know Carly, but this sweet little Beagle mix has already made one thing VERY clear: she has a whole lot of love to give. ❤️ Carly is currently settling into foster care, so we expect to learn much more about her personality as she gets comfortable and her foster family sees more of the real Carly. But here’s the scoop so far—and it’s a pretty lovable start! Carly is incredibly affectionate and absolutely does not object to being cuddled. If you’re looking for a dog who appreciates being close to her people and soaking up some love, Carly is already showing plenty of potential in the snuggle department. She’s also dog friendly and has done well with canine company so far. As we spend more time with her, we’ll continue learning about her play style, preferences, and what kind of canine companions might be the best match. One thing Carly hasn’t mastered yet is potty training. She’ll need an adopter prepared to help her learn with a consistent routine, frequent trips outside, patience, and plenty of praise when she gets it right. She may be an adult, but there’s no reason she can’t learn new household skills! There are still plenty of blanks to fill in—how she feels about cats, children, her favorite toys, her ideal daily routine, and all those little quirks that make a dog uniquely herself. For now, what we know is that Carly is a very loving little girl who enjoys affection, welcomes cuddles, and is dog friendly. Stay tuned as we learn more about Carly. Or better yet, maybe you’d like to be the person who gets to know her best. 🐾💕 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
🐾💕 Meet Athena — Professional Kisser, Playtime Expert & Your New Best Friend Athena is one of those dogs who seems to believe that every person she meets is simply a friend she hasn’t kissed yet. 😂 She absolutely loves people, and as far as Athena is concerned, strangers really don’t exist. She’s sweet, affectionate, playful, and always happy to make a new friend. Athena loves to play, run around, and especially have fun with other dogs. But one of the best things about her is that she also knows how to turn it off and relax. When it’s time to play, she’s ready to go. When everyone settles down, Athena is perfectly happy to settle down too. She has a pretty impressive work-life balance for a dog. 😂 She does great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. Athena is still learning about the world, and one of her strategies is watching the other dogs to see what they’re doing and following their lead. It’s almost like she’s thinking, “Ohhh, so THAT’S how this works. Got it!” She’s also confirmed to be great with kids, making her compatibility report card even better. Cats remain the one big question mark simply because her foster doesn’t have any, so we don’t yet know what Athena thinks about feline friends. Athena is smart and a fast learner. She already knows “sit,” understands “no,” and picks up on routines quickly. She’s also doing really well with potty training! The poop accidents appear to be behind her, while occasional pee accidents can still happen. Her foster has learned that more frequent trips outside—especially after Athena drinks a lot of water—make a big difference. She’s clearly getting the hang of it and just needs her new family to keep up the consistency. And we can add another skill to Athena’s résumé: she’s good on leash! 🦮 Whether you're heading out for a neighborhood walk or loading up for a bigger adventure, Athena is ready to participate. Speaking of adventures, Athena LOVES car rides. 🚗🐾 She rides calmly and seems perfectly happy to come along for the journey. Road trip? Quick errand? Athena would like to know what time you're leaving. But what really makes Athena special is how loving and affectionate she is. She likes being around her people, follows along to see what everyone is doing, and absolutely LOVES giving kisses. Lots of them. Athena is not remotely interested in keeping her feelings to herself. ❤️ She’s still learning about the world around her, but she’s doing a fantastic job. She watches, learns, plays, and takes in new experiences every day. She’d love a family that will keep showing her all the good things life has to offer. Athena may be just the right match if you're looking for a dog who can play when it’s time to play, relax when it’s time to relax, enjoy the company of dogs and kids, take a nice walk, hop in the car for an adventure, and love her people with her whole heart. ⚠️ A Small Warning About Adopting Athena… Adopting Athena may result in an excessive number of kisses, a willing playmate for your dog, and a passenger who takes car rides very seriously. 😂 Possible long-term side effects include buying her way too many toys, laughing at how quickly she figures things out, and discovering that Athena has somehow made friends with everyone before you have. Proceed with adoption carefully… she gives kisses freely, loves easily, and is dangerously good at making people fall in love with her. 🐾💕 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
