Story
Dottie is a sweet mixed breed girl who is three years old. She was originally living with my mother in law and her husband way out in the country and she wasn’t a good fit for their home as they worked and she was home alone. My husband and my daughters decided we would take her in hopes that someone we knew would take her since there were only kill shelters in my mother-in-law’s area. But she’s been with us a year and we aren’t having any luck finding her a home with our friends and family. She is well behaved, house trained, prefers to sleep in a kennel at night (door open but she feels cozier in small spaces), she gets along great with other dogs (we have three of varying sizes and she gets along with them well) and she gets along with kids of all ages. She loves lots of affection and going on car rides and going on walks. She’s a great alert dog without being aggressive to guests. She is wonderful, but just needs more time than we have for her presently.

Story
Meet Bea Harmonie! Beagle Mix | 5 Months Old | Approx. 16 lbs Looking for the perfect pint-sized companion with personality to spare? Look no further — Bea Harmonie is your girl! This sweet, pup is estimated to be a Beagle mix (with maybe a dash of dachshund) and will likely stay in the small-to-medium size range, around 18-25 lbs full grown. Bea is as smart as she is cute — she’s already using the dog door like a pro and appears to be fully potty trained. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and, after a few cautious encounters, has learned to tolerate the resident cats, too. Her tail never stops wagging, and her happy little “wiggle butt” dance will brighten anyone’s day. She’s affectionate, playful, and oh-so-lovable, with just the right amount of puppy sass. Aside from an occasional bark, Bea is an easygoing, well-mannered pup ready to bring joy to her forever home. If you’re ready for endless cuddles, puppy kisses, and a lifetime of love — Bea Harmonie is ready to meet you! All Heart of America dogs are altered, micro chipped and will have age-appropriate vaccines. The adoption fee for all of our dogs/puppies is $225.
