DOB: 3/14/26                                  Current Weight(as of 5/28/26): 6 Lbs Adoption Fee: $275 includes 1 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Meet our adorable Beagle mix trio Harper, Harlow & Hugsy! These 3-month-old puppies are full of personality, love, and nonstop puppy energy. They are playful, curious, and always ready for their next adventure — whether that’s zooming around the yard, wrestling with dog friends, or exploring everything around them.  These pups are VERY active and will need families that can keep up with busy puppy life. A securely fenced yard is strongly preferred so they can safely run and burn off energy. They would thrive in homes with another playful dog or with active families who enjoy walks, playtime, and lots of interaction.   Even with all their energy, they each have a sweet snuggly side. Once they are all worn out from playing, they love nothing more than curling up close for cuddles and naps. They are affectionate, loving, and eager to be part of a family.  Like all puppies, they are still learning house manners and routines, so their new families should be prepared to continue training with patience and consistency. With love, structure, and exercise, these babies are going to make wonderful companions!   Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.  Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Pet Location: Easter is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet her, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816) 986-4426.My friends at Wayside say:- I am a tripod. Even though I have three legs, I would love to run straight into your heart. - I’m a little shy—slow and steady wins the race with me.- I will do best with dogs who prefer to coexist.-I am housebroken in my foster home.My home needs are:- Wayside recommends that you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies. - I must have a fenced-in yard since I am still learning to walk on leash.- I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. Hi there, I’m Easter! I’m calm and affectionate and possibly the sweetest dog you’ve ever met. That’s what my friends tell me anyway. My life hasn’t been an easy one, that’s for sure, but I’m resilient and forgiving. I just want to live a safe and peaceful life with people I love, that’s all. That’s enough for me. I hope that maybe you’re looking for a simple little dog to share your life with, and that you decide to choose me. I’m ready to be your dog!I’m a darling, 2-year-old, 35-pound Beagle mix, with soft, floppy ears, gentle, soulful eyes that turn bright and engaged once I know you’re my people, and an unassuming, easy-going, lovely personality. I’m already housebroken, too, although please stay patient with me as I get settled in, as an adjustment period is normal. Please keep me on a schedule to help set me up for success. I was transferred to Wayside from a shelter in rural Texas that didn’t have space for me. One of my legs was amputated right before I arrived in KC, so I’m still getting used to that. And I’m recovering from heartworm treatment…and the move to a new state…and just being a shy little gal to start with. Whew, that’s a lot. With a little time and patience, I’ll be as good as new and all settled into my new life! Meanwhile, though, shelter living was feeling scary and lonely, so I was thrilled to be chosen to live in a foster home as I wait for you to find me! Foster Mom makes me feel special and important. Ah, that feels so nice.My foster parents understood from the start that I had been through a lot of change and instability in my short life, so they let me take things at my own pace, which has helped to put me at ease. I’ve been working so hard to just be

Story
Pet Location: Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Waifs with Wisdom. This is a program for dogs to learn basic commands and leash walking skills. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session.- I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter! - Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, I love them all! - An adopter with training experience would help me thrive!- I’m smart and food/treat motivated, and I already know sit! My home needs are: -I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. -Wayside requires bringing the whole family out to meet me before adoption - new people can make me a little nervous.- Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies.Hi, I`m Ava,I ended up at the shelter when my family couldn`t care for me any longer. I have been struggling to settle in. I am 4 but have a lot of energy, so don`t let my age fool you. I am a perfect size at 29 pounds for those that don`t want a large dog.I know sit but don`t seem to know any other commands. I like to zig zag when walking so could use some help with walking on a leash. I am a beagle after all. I like to use my nose. I would make a great jogging partner once I settle down.I enjoy interacting with other dogs at the shelter. Once I feel comfortable, I really like to play. I have a kind of rough and tumble play style. I like to chase other dogs, then do some wrestling with them. I love to run with them.I am looking for an owner that can help me get some energy out. Walking/hiking buddy? Jogging? I`m up for whatever you throw at me. Come say hi. I would love to meet you.Love, Ava
