My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session.-New people and things make me a little nervous. Let’s take things slow! - Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, I love them all! - An adopter with training experience would help me thrive!-I’m smart and food/treat motivated, and I already know sit! My home needs are: -I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. -Wayside requires bringing the whole family out to meet me before adoption - new people can make me a little nervous.- Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies.Hi, I`m Ava,I ended up at the shelter when my family couldn`t care for me any longer. I have been struggling to settle in. I am 4 but have a lot of energy, so don`t let my age fool you. I am a perfect size at 29 pounds for those that don`t want a large dog.I know sit but don`t seem to know any other commands. I like to zig zag when walking so could use some help with walking on a leash. I am a beagle after all. I like to use my nose. I would make a great jogging partner once I settle down.I enjoy interacting with other dogs at the shelter. Once I feel comfortable, I really like to play. I have a kind of rough and tumble play style. I like to chase other dogs, then do some wrestling with them. I love to run with them.I am looking for an owner that can help me get some energy out. It’s been an extremely hard decision to make, truly. He looks like a grumpy old man, but he’s extremely sweet and wants to follow me around and know where I’m at, at all times. He was originally owned by a woman who passed from medical issues and I adopted him and now I too have medical issues. It’s absolutely heartbreaking, because he deserves to get the attention he needs. He’s has a few accidents at home due to his age.

Due to medical reasons I need to rehomed my beautiful, loving Gizmo. It breaks my heart but he deserves someone that can walk with and let him play outside in a yard.
