*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Meet Granny Smith, a sweet, mature Beagle lady who is perfectly content to take life at her own pace. She’s wonderfully low-key and self-sufficient, with a tail that seems to be in a constant state of wagging. Most of the time, she’s so quiet and easygoing that you may forget she’s there—until mealtime, of course! Granny enjoys rotating through all the comfy beds in the house and does well at night, whether she’s sleeping in or out of her crate. She may be a little too mature for toys these days, but she loves having other dogs around and is perfectly happy to watch her foster siblings wrestle and play. She’d enjoy going for walks, but while she’s being treated for a lingering cough, her activity has been limited. That hasn’t stopped her from enjoying herself, though—she’s quite happy rolling around and doing her signature commando crawl in the backyard. Granny does have a soft Beagle bark when she thinks she’s being left behind or excluded from the pack. She also loves a good belly rub and, if you’re lucky, may even settle in for 5–10 minutes of cuddle time. She’s an easygoing girl who doesn’t ask for much and would love a quiet home where she can enjoy her comfy beds, canine companions, backyard adventures, and plenty of belly rubs.

Dumpling is a 7-year-old Beagle who has been a beloved part of my family since I brought him home from a breeder at just 8 weeks old. He is a very smart, energetic, friendly, and loving dog. He is great with cats and children and has a calm and gentle personality as well. Dumpling is not destructive and does not chew on household items. He is outdoor potty trained and has been a well-behaved companion throughout his life. Unfortunately, I recently welcomed a newborn baby into my family. With the major changes and responsibilities that come with caring for a newborn, I am no longer able to give Dumpling the time, attention, and care that he deserves. This is an extremely difficult decision for me because I have had him since he was just 8 weeks old, and he has been an important part of my family for seven years. Dumpling is a wonderful dog with so much love to give. My biggest hope is that he can find a loving, safe, and caring home where he will be treated as part of the family.

Meet Jules! 🐾 Jules is a sweet, curious 1-year-old Beagle with a big personality and an even bigger nose! Born March 26, 2025, this adorable girl is always ready to follow a scent wherever it may lead. True to her Beagle nature, her nose often takes charge of the adventure — and she definitely has the classic Beagle “awooo”! Jules is spayed, up to date on vaccines and wellness exams, and consistently maintained on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She is also crate trained. Jules is a social girl who does well with other dogs, people, and children. She has lived with a cat and is curious about feline friends. She enjoys sniffing and investigating her cat roommate, but generally respects him and is interested rather than overly focused. Once Jules bonds with you, she becomes a wonderful little shadow. She loves being close to her people and will happily follow you around, making her a loyal and affectionate companion. Like many Beagles, Jules has a few quirks that come with the breed. Her long, floppy ears make her prone to ear infections, so regular ear cleaning and monitoring are an important part of her routine. And while she is crate trained, she can be a little stubborn when it comes to potty training at home. She has demonstrated that she can be 100% reliable about pottying outside in a boarding environment, but at home she may test her boundaries and will need continued consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. Jules is a fun-loving, affectionate young Beagle who would thrive with a family willing to continue her training and give her the structure she needs. In return, she'll give you her goofy Beagle charm, plenty of companionship, and a loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be by your side. ❤️🐶

Story
Kelo is a 9-year-old, 60–70 lb spayed female Beagle mix who we adopted as a puppy from the ASPCA in Wake County. She has been a beloved part of our family for many years and has given us so much love and companionship. We are currently in a season where we can no longer provide the level of care, attention, exercise, and stability Kelo needs, and we want what is best for her as she gets older. She is happiest when she gets regular walks, enjoys being outside, and loves sunbathing. When calm, she can be a very sweet and loving companion and may do well with an individual or couple. Kelo does have behavioral challenges, including separation/confinement anxiety and a history of biting other dogs and one incident involving a child. For this reason, an adult-only home without other pets and an experienced, patient adopter would be best. She is not bonded with our other dog. This is a very difficult decision. We love Kelo and want her to have the safe, loving home and TLC she deserves.
