Meet LuLu, a sociable, energetic 10-year-old beagle/shepard mix. Her favorite things are people (especially kids), car rides and walks. LuLu is well loved by her owners and was raised as an indoor dog, but because of family circumstances, she is currently living outside. She misses her daily human interaction and would thrive with a family that can spend time with her, take her on car rides and daily walks. Although diagnosed with hip dysplasia, but this does not dim LuLu’s outlook on life or her ability to take short walks. Her owners are looking to rehome her to a family that will be able to provide for her needs and give her lots of love and attention. This girl is heartworm negative, spayed and up-to-date on her vaccines. All you have to do is meet this sweet, senior pup to fall in love with her. LuLu’s adoption fee has been sponsored. ***This post is on behalf of a friend of mine*** Due to a tragic death in the family, we sadly have to rehome our two dogs - Joy and Zoe. My friend is now a widower with three children under the age of 7, and he is not able to care for the dogs while navigating this new phase of life as a single parent. Joy is a Beagle mix, approx 3 years old Zoe is a Manchester Terrier mix, approx 11 years old Both are great with kids. They are bonded and we would like to rehome them together

We seem to have quite a few seniors these days, and that`s okay because they are such wonderful, amazing souls. They teach us so much and require so little. They just want to be with you, get a few pets and hugs, some good food, and a soft, warm place to rest. Is that too much to ask?? NO! This beautiful girl is Lanie and it`s hard to believe but she is probably around 10 years old or so. And, as always, she checks all the boxes like most seniors. She`s housetrained, crate trained, good with other dogs, easy-going, and just a pleasure to be around--a 100% great dog! Lanie is doing very well in her wonderful foster home but she is also ready to start life in a forever home of her own. She will not disappoint the lucky person who adopts her, and promises to bring oodles and oodles of love into their life. To meet this sweet, happy girl, email us at fosterpets@burlingtonnc.gov.

Meet Athur! He came to BAS at 10 years young, and is such a cutie. Volunteers told us: `Arthur was a peppy little goofball in the play yard today! He has nice leash manners and knows (and obeys) basic commands. This chunky beagle buddy trotted around the yard in search of snacks and affection. He appeared to be potty trained. He showed off a happy-go-lucky, agreeable personality and a constantly wagging tail. He obviously loves people and is looking for a new sidekick to entertain and love.`Arthur:- Enjoys meeting new people- Is cuddly and affectionate- Treat Motivated- Good on a leash- Medium energy

Everyone meet Piper! She is a medium sized puppy who is full of love and sass - she could chase a ball endlessly while also being your best cuddle buddy! She is very smart and learning her puppy manners well, she lives to please! She has adjusted exceptionally well to a cushy home life and is getting along well with her doggie playmates. Piper does have some awkward wobbles with walking because she was born with underdeveloped knee caps, but that doesn't stop her from running and playing like any other pup! Her knee caps may grow in better as she gets older and our vets are monitoring closely. If you have any questions about Piper or her needs please reach out -- she is a perfectly imperfect girl! ##1852742##
