Story
We are putting Minion up for adoption because after a year it has become apparent that he cannot adjust to a home with a small child. Otherwise, he is a great dog. He is sweet, likes to cuddle, and loves napping in a sunny spot. He is a little over 10 years old but we don't know his exact age because he was adopted as an adult. His front left leg is a little weird shaped but he doesn't know that and he doesn't let it stop him from running and walking. He has spent the last 10 years living with cats and the last 5 years also living with a chiwinie, so he's fine with cats and female dogs of the same size or smaller. However, I don't think he'll do well with bigger dogs or male dogs. He has growed and snapped at our one year old child, so a home with young children is not a good idea. If you are interested, please contact me and I can tell you more. If you have space in your home, we would love to rehome him with our other dog (female chiwinie, 5 years old, very sweet).

Story
Angel is a very sweet, loving dog. She is around 4 months old and has gotten all of her shots other than the rabies vaccination . One of our family members had us watch the dog for them , and they never returned for her , and basically told us she is ours now. Which we already have a toddler , and another baby on the way so we dont want a dog added on to that . She is already potty trained , she goes right to the door when she has to go to the bathroom , and hasn’t had any accidents in the house . She loves bones to chew on , and lots of cuddles ! She is amazing around other dogs and kids . She is a beagle mixed dog , we don’t know what else she is breed with but we don’t think she should get much bigger, as her mom was very tiny . We don’t want anything for her , we just want to find her a good home with people who have time for her .

Story
This is Penny! Penny is the SWEETEST girl. She is a 7-year-old hound mix who loves belly rubs (she will let you rub her belly for hours), playing with her toys, and going on walks. She is a professional burrower who can get herself under a blanket in 2 seconds flat, and she loves snuggling in her beds. I got Penny from a family member who could no longer take care of her. She was adopted from a shelter at around a year old and lived 6 years as an "only child." I cared for Penny for about 6 months but she did not do well with our other dog -- Penny needs to be in a home with no other dogs and no small children. She will do very well in a home where she gets lots of love and attention.

Story
Sweet beagle girl, Daisy, is a gentle soul looking for someone to spoil her with lazy walks and a world full of fun smells to keep that hound nose sniffing. She has a very affectionate and gentle personality and is good with all types of people and pups. Daisy walks well on a leash during leisurely walks, but also enjoys roaming around a fenced in yard. Her favorite thing to do when outside and off-leash is to roll around on her back in the grass, sunning her belly and wiggling her tail around. As with any good beagle, Daisy is very food motivated and enjoys mealtime immensely. Daisy enjoys naps during the day and has the most adorable little snores. She mostly sleeps through the night but may stir to go to the bathroom early in the morning if she doesn't get out before bedtime. She is potty trained to go outside, but may need to get used to a new place and schedule in the beginning. She is a middle aged dog, maybe between 6-8 years old so her delightful personality is here to stay. Her background is a bit of a mystery. She was found in the country, roaming around on her own. She was likely dumped after having many litters of puppies, or maybe because of the lipoma on her abdomen (a fatty non-cancerous lump). The vet said she is healthy, that the lump isn't causing her any pain, and that besides needing a good teeth cleaning, she would be ready for a loving home. Her foster family have taken care of her vaccinations and have started training with basic commands. Daisy would do well in a home with another calm and gentle pup, or as an only dog. She will adapt to any working situation, whether work from home or not. She has not barked or howled since being in her foster home so she would be fine in a house or apartment. Daisy's adorable face will melt your heart and she is ready to fall in love with her new humans. Daisy's adoption fee is $75. Please call (717) 725-5259 or email knkessler@gmail.com if interested in meeting little miss Daisy. ***This is a courtesy posting, this dog is not part of Hope Animal Rescue. Story
Shea is an incredible dog and would do well with a family or a single person. He loves children, enjoys being outside, and plays well with all other dogs. He’s truly a sweetheart. I am dealing with some unexpected and pervasive medical issues, and I can no longer care for him physically. I can tell that this is negatively impacting Shea and I recognize that I am no longer a good home for him as I am having to prioritize my health above his needs. I would love to chat with you about Shea because I want to ensure he ends up in a good home!
