Story
(DOB 05/22/2024) Noodle is a wiggly bundle of joy with energy for days. He’s the canine equivalent of an espresso shot! Whether it's running laps in the yard, playing fetch with the kiddos, or a rousing game of tug-of-war, Noodle is always ready to go. A home with a spacious yard is a must for this zoomie king. He is he "The King of the Yard"; he's slice of heaven for certain! Noodle loves his people and is happiest when he's part of the action. He’d do well as a solo pup, but he thrives in the company of other playful, friendly dogs. His dream home? One with furry siblings to romp around with and humans who enjoy long walks, backyard playtime, and snuggle sessions after a full day of fun. Now let’s talk quirks—because no dog is perfect, well Noodle is perfectly lovable. He’s working on his leash manners (right now, he likes to take you for a stroll), and he can be a bit of a door dasher when excitement strikes. He’s also a proud member of the “Scared of Thunder & Fireworks Club,” so he’ll need some extra TLC during storms and holidays. Oh, and...to keep this little fun-loving pup safe in his backyard, Noodle will need a solid-panel fence or one with very narrow spacing—like, “noodle-proof” spacing. He has a special talent for squeezing through small gaps and will try to Houdini his way out if given the chance. Gate reinforcement = peace of mind. Despite his energy, Noodle has an impressive calm side. He’s crate trained, potty trained, and obedient—seriously! It's like someone hit the “Good Boy” switch when he’s indoors. He’ll happily chill out in his crate or lounge next to you after a solid play session, giving off major “teacher’s pet” vibes. If you’re looking for a hilarious, energetic, belly-rub-loving, treat-chasing, kid-friendly best friend who will make you laugh daily and love you endlessly (and won’t potty on your rug), Noodle's your guy. Just bring a fence, a ball, and a sense of humor. As part of Noodle’s $300 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this handsome pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Noodle, you can complete an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2454019##

Story
Name / Breed / Age: Maddox, Beagle/chihuahua mix, Puppy  Personality Traits: Happy go lucky, The Velcro Pup, Loveable, The Independent Thinker Likes / Dislikes:  He loves snuggles. Dislikes cold potty walks. Health and behavior history:  Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and will be spayed /neutered between 4 to 7 months. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet!   Meet Maddox!!   Maddox is a soft, cuddly sweetheart who is just over three months old and already full of charm. He can be a little skittish at first, but his curiosity usually wins him over once he’s had a moment to take everything in. He’s learning the ropes of walks and house training, and while he has the occasional hiccup, he’s doing wonderfully for his age.   This little guy loves his chew toys, enjoys meeting new people, and gets along well with other dogs, especially those with a calmer vibe. Cats are still a bit of a mystery, but he’s open to learning more. Maddox has an easygoing nature most of the time, but when he makes up his mind, he’s adorably determined.   He would make a wonderful companion for a loving home, especially one that appreciates a good afternoon cuddle session on the couch. If you’re looking for a sweet, curious, loyal friend to grow with, Maddox just might be your perfect match. ##2579129##

Story
Vanilla is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She loves affection so much we're not sure there's a point at which she'd want someone to stop petting her. If she had her way, you'd pet her until your arm fell off. She loves being near her people, but for such an affectionate dog, she's not big on kisses. A plus for a lot of folks! Vanilla is only about a year old, so she's still a playful young lady. She loves toys, balls, and running around the yard. She is dog friendly and absolutely adores people. We don't think Vanilla has been taught any basic manners so she's learning everything now. She's already making great strides learning not to jump on people; she's mastered the dog door and potty training. Vanilla is a perfect angel, sleeping in her crate at night without complaint. When she was surrendered to the shelter her owner listed her as a Basset Hound, but we're not sure her former owner had actually ever seen a Basset Hound before. We think it's more likely that she's a Beagle, albeit a big one. Our girl could stand to lose a few pounds! Vanilla would do best in a single family home. Although she doesn’t bark a lot when her people are home, we’ve noticed she doesn’t like being left alone and barks some when she’s left. Apply to adopt this very good girl!

Vanilla is only about a year old, so she's still a playful young lady. She loves toys, balls, and running around the yard. She is dog friendly and absolutely adores people.
