Itty bitty Ethel arrived to Saving Grace in a tiny package who was greatly underweight and clearly without ever knowing the comforts of a home and people who love her but Ethel arrived wagging and shaking her tush as if she knew there was a better life waiting. Ethel is a tiny beagle in stature and while she weighs 21 lbs she absolutely needs to continue putting on weight but will still be on the smaller side for size. She is a social gal, with people and other dogs regardless of size, loves pampering and attention and a good sniff and wander right along with it. She would settle well into most any home as she has not been shy or unsure of herself at all and takes it all in with true beagle grace and nonchalance. She would be a wonderful match for folks who love leisurely walks, snacks, time outdoors in the sun and long ears on cute four legged love bugs. She is SO excited to begin her journey home and it all starts with just making an appointment.

She’s wonderfully low-key and self-sufficient, with a tail that seems to be in a constant state of wagging. Most of the time, she’s so quiet and easygoing that you may forget she’s there—until mealtime, of course! Granny enjoys rotating through all the comfy beds in the house and does well at night, whether she’s sleeping in or out of her crate. She may be a little too mature for toys these days, but she loves having other dogs around and is perfectly happy to watch her foster siblings wrestle and play. She’d enjoy going for walks, but while she’s being treated for a lingering cough, her activity has been limited. That hasn’t stopped her from enjoying herself, though—she’s quite happy rolling around and doing her signature commando crawl in the backyard. Granny does have a soft Beagle bark when she thinks she’s being left behind or excluded from the pack. She also loves a good belly rub and, if you’re lucky, may even settle in for 5–10 minutes of cuddle time. She’s an easygoing girl who doesn’t ask for much and would love a quiet home where she can enjoy her comfy beds, canine companions, backyard adventures, and plenty of belly rubs.
