She was found as a stray with her puppies, and now that her momma duties are behind her, it’s her turn to be spoiled. She’s ready for a family to love her, cherish her, and give her the happy life she deserves!

Maggie is a 2-year-old Beagle mix with the softest heart and the gentlest soul. Affectionate, shy, and incredibly loving, Maggie is happiest when she’s close to the people she trusts. Whether she’s snuggled tightly beside you on the couch, riding along on a quiet car trip, or enjoying one of her favorite walks, Maggie’s love shines through in the sweetest ways. Her previous family shared that when they first brought Maggie home, she was nervous and scared, but once she felt safe, she became deeply devoted and full of love. She’s comforted by attention and simply wants to be near her person. Maggie is crate trained and finds peace and security in her black wire crate, especially during thunderstorms, often choosing to curl up there on her own for comfort. Maggie also loves running around the yard and was a star at learning the invisible fence. Food, cozy naps, walks, and quiet time with her favorite person make her happiest. Because Maggie is sensitive and protective of the people she loves, she would do best in a calm, quiet home without a lot of visitors or small children. Strangers can be overwhelming for her, and while she enjoys outings and adventures, she prefers not to be approached or petted by people she doesn’t know. Maggie feels things deeply and can get her feelings hurt easily, so she needs a patient adopter who understands shy dogs and will give her the time and reassurance she deserves. Underneath her timid nature is a dog who loves with her whole heart. Maggie isn’t looking for a perfect home — she’s looking for a safe one, where she can finally relax, feel understood, and spend her days close to the person she loves most.

Story
Lottie would be great for someone experienced with Beagles and training in general. She is soo smart and trainable but is a little dramatic too. Lottie gets jealous for attention with other dogs or children. She hasn’t bitten or shown aggression but gets anxious when others interfere with her being the spotlight. She is healthy and up to date on vaccines. She is fine with male dogs at the dog park. However, she does not interact with or show any fondness for the older female dog in our home. Lottie loves her crate, walks and will lay in your lap as long as you allow. I feel like she would be best suited to be an only dog or paired with a male. She is mostly housebroken but has peed inside. She needs a little more training and seems to pee inside as a marking behavior when the other dog is getting attention. She came to me not housebroken at all so she’s making a lot of progress.

Bella is a sweet senior girl who would love nothing more than to curl up beside you on the couch. She has a beautiful Beagle voice and isn’t afraid to use it when she has something to say! She’s also a great girl on a leash. Bella and her friend Cooper came to us through no fault of their own after a series of family losses and moves left them without the person they loved. Bella is currently working on her fitness, as she came to us carrying quite a few extra pounds. She’s a pretty low-energy girl, although we’re not sure how much of that is due to her weight, her age, or a little of both.
