Story
This animal is NOT available through Brother Wolf Animal Rescue. This is a courtesy listing only, so you will need to contact the current owner for more information or to adopt. PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER AT: email: ranger_cathy@yahoo.com Call: (207) 699-9347 Meet Sakura! This cute pup has had it ruff lately but is still smiling. She always seems to have a grin on her face! Sakura was abandoned at a grooming salon, when her person fell on tough times, and is now searching for her forever family. She's being cared for at the salon until her new person or persons show up to sweep her away to her new life. Sakura is 3.5 yrs. young and loves to play! Her antics will keep you in stitches! When given a proper introduction, Sakura is a super friendly girl with humans. She's played well with a small male dog, but can react to larger dogs, so we feel she'd do best in a home as the only pup. Can't you just see this gal on the couch with you after romping in the yard? Sakura is a smart girl who thrives with an experienced handler. We would recommend children old enough to be confident leaders to show her the ropes and make her the best dog she can be. She is housebroken, crate trained and knows basic commands. She loves to play fetch and is very good about dropping the ball when told. Sakura is now vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She's ready to go home today!

Story
Daisy! Daisy! All for the love of youuuu... This sweet girl is true to her breed and loves to eat! Being food-motivated means she'll do just about anything for a treat. She enjoys long, slow walks where she can sniff all the smells! Classic beagle. Daisy is still learning how to relax in a home and will need a quiet household to allow her to adjust. She currently lives with other dogs and coexists with them well. She seems to be slightly fearful of men and warms up faster to cuddling with females.Daisy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $200.  All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. June 1, 2023, 10:04 pm

Story
Sometimes dogs come into the rescue and their little souls are broken and it takes a while to get them to a point we feel they are ready for adoption - such is the case with Heather - this beautiful girl has really come so far in Becky and Keith's care since coming to the rescue in July 2021 but none of it came easy - she came from a hoarding bust and all these dogs were thrown together in outside kennels and here was one lone dog tied to a tree away from all the others and that was Heather - why we do not know but emotionally it took a toll on her without a doubt - trust did not come easy and we do know that she will trust a man easier than a woman - but given proper time she will trust a woman too - As long as she has been with the rescue , it was just recently she actually picked up a toy to play with it . Now she loves to run zoomies in the yard and play with other dogs - she has learned what it is to actually be a dog now - not just a life that existed tied to a tree not knowing when she was going to have to cower down to avoid a beating or when she was going to get food next. Heather is estimated to be 5 years old. She weighs 32 pounds and just had her yearly exam, bloodwork and vaccines and she is a healthy girl - she has some tartar built up so we are going to go ahead and get a dental done on her next week. This girl had never been in a house so housebreaking was a challenge but she has come so so far and is doing great with that. She does well with other dogs, kids and cats. She will need a patient adopter - one that realizes that she is not going to want to cuddle on your lap right away but once she does - you will have one loyal and loving companion. This girl is so so deserving of a home to call her own and we hope someone sees this post and decides that they want to open their home and heart to a true "underdog " Heather is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, just had her annual bloodwork done, dewormed, current on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250.00 If you are interested in adopting this special girl - please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications. We do not schedule any meet and greets until the application has been received and reviewed. We don't have a facility - all of our animals are in private foster homes throughout Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina Let's find Heather a family and a home to call her own. She is ready

Story
Cooper is a very sweet and handsome boy who needs an owner with more time to spend with him and a yard to run in outside. I live in an apartment and he really deserves a home where he can get outside and play more than I have time to take him. He is very sweet and affectionate and loves to be close to you at all times. He will be three in July. He is very bonded with his sister, Hazel, a beagle mix of the same age. She is also listed for adoption and I would love for them go be adopted together if possible.

I work a lot and live in an apartment and she needs a home with someone who has more time and where she has a yard to play in. Her brother, Cooper, is also listed and I would love to find a home for both of them together, if possible, as they are very bonded. She is a sweet girl who will make a great pet.

Story
Axel is about a year old male still with the puppy energy. What a perfect age for training and bringing him into the family! He is lovable and a little goofy. He has been on a group walk with other dogs and did great. This boy is quite the cutie. All puppies under 6 months are $200 and all dogs from 6 months to 6 years are $85.00 and up. The adoption fee is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, medical condition and demand. All dogs 7 years and older are free under our Saving Seniors program. We frequently run special and occasionally a dog will be more than the stated fee. Most cats and kittens are $35.00, however there may be instances in which the fee is higher or lower, due to age, behavior, medical condition or demand. With felines, we always have an ""Adopt one, bring another one home for free"" adoption special!
