You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. Meet lovable Jake! He is a 1 year old beagle.    Jake came to OBHR from a local shelter.  We know from his foster that he his house broken and crate trained and good with both a young and older dog, but he is a young and active guy so another young dog and active family will be best for this beagle boy! He will require a home with a fenced in yard and his adoption fee is $300. He is currently being fostered in Columbus. He has not been cat tested but we do know…no farm animals! He is NOT chicken friendly. Let’s just say that’s why this sweet boy found his way to rescue! But that’s ok Jake! We will find you a home with no chickens!    Adoption Process: To meet one our dogs you must first fill out our application on our website ohiobassetrescue.com. Once submitted one of our volunteers will reach out to you. Upon approval you will be given an approval code to email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Approvals are good for 6 months for any current or future dogs. After 6 months you will be directed to fill out an updated application. Please note we only process applications where the adopter lives in OH, IN, KY, PA, WV, lower MI. Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog they are adopting. Dogs locations are listed on their profile description on our website. Dogs are NOT all located in Brookville, that is our mailing address. She has the speed of Usain Bolt, the enthusiasm of a kid on the first day of summer, and doesn't understand what personal space is. Her favorite activities include running full speed for absolutely no reason, jumping high enough to question gravity and her bulldog heritage, and making every walk feel like a sporting event. She also loves to collect compliments from strangers about her beautiful dual eye color & beagle coloring. Coco is both house & crate trained, and is working on reigning in her enthusiasm while being on a leash. She loves a good kong once she slows down enough to realize their are treats inside! This energetic superstar would do best with room to run (fenced in yard required!), someone who can provide plenty of exercise & treats, and humans who are patient and appreciate a dog with no idea what personal space is. Where you are - she is. If your ideal best friend is equal parts athlete and cuddle buddy, your champion is ready to race straight into your heart. ***Adoption Process*** -All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention. -Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area. -We DO NOT ship dogs!!!
