🐾💕 Meet Mural 💕🐾Mural is a sweet, sensitive girl who’s ready to find a home that understands her gentle nature.🐶 About Mural:• Approximately 1–2 years old• 22 lbs, full grown• Likely a mix of beagle/miniature pinscher (and probably a few other breeds too!)• Will be spayed May 1💛 Personality & Preferences:Mural can be a little shy and skittish at first, but with patience and a consistent routine, she really starts to settle in and show her sweet side. She’s not a “take everywhere” kind of dog—she’s happiest in a calm home where life is predictable and not overwhelming.👨‍👩‍👧 Kids:We’re unsure how she feels about children, so we recommend bringing any kids along for a meet-and-greet.🐕 Dogs:Mural tends to “warning bay” at most dogs (which is where we think that beagle side comes through 🎶). Every once in a while she meets one she’s okay with. She may do better with smaller dogs, but we haven’t had the chance to see that yet.🐱 Cats:Good news—she did well with cats in a foster home!🚶‍♀️ Other Notes:• Walks nicely on a leash• Can be selective with both people and dog friends• Thrives with structure and a patient adopterMural is looking for someone who will give her the time, space, and understanding she needs to feel safe and loved. Once she trusts you, you’ll have a loyal little companion by your side. 🐾💖She is spayed, vaccinated including rabies, on flea & tick preventative, tested negative for heartworm and Lyme, given dewormer and will be microchipped. Adoption fee is $70. (Temporary lowered adoption fee during our Empty the Shelters event going on now until May 17.)You can stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. We're located at 9331 State Route 124 Hillsboro, OH. Our adoption is open and easy, please come to the shelter to meet the animals in person to adopt.

This fun loving, affectionate guy is back in action after he came to DASH with some skin issues that have now been treated and his hair is growing back nicely and his true personality is shining through. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program where he is mastering his basic commands, and where he loves to play fetch with his favorite things and is very energetic when he's playing, but then is ready to chill and just watch the world go by hanging out in his favorite spot on the couch. He loves giving kisses as well. He is crate trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash. He enjoys meeting new people and dogs, but has not been kid or cat tested. Due to the skin issues he is still a little touch sensitive on his back half, but we feel that will resolve itself over time. He also is not a big fan of crowds and is a little skittish, but his handler is working with him to overcome that. He's also fairly quiet and not a big barker in or out of his crate. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program where his handler says he is a great dog, who loves being outside, is great on a leash and very manageable. He also loves relaxing inside after a nice walk or play session. He is crate trained, potty trained in the prison setting and is very sociable. He love female dogs, but would do best with a proper introduction to male dogs, as he can be a little picky in his male friends. He is currently learning all of his basic commands and doing really well with all of them. Due to his current foster placement he has not been introduced to children of any age or to cats so both would require proper introductions. Chomper is ready to find his forever home! Lulu is a sweet 3-1/2 year old with classic Beagle traits. She is curious and enthusiastic when meeting new people (kids!) and dogs. Lulu loves the outdoors, sniffing her way around the yard and chasing balls, while keeping an eye on her person. She's happy to plop down in the grass or on the patio for some sunbathing. Lulu isn't the greatest about walking on a leash, but she's eager to go! When Lulu sees her leash and an open car door, she thinks "Yay, we're going for a ride!" and jumps right in. As a treat-motivated Beagle, Lulu carries a few extra pounds. Lulu is house-trained and crate-trained, and sleeps great through the night. She likes her daytime naps and wakes up refreshed and happy to see her person. Lulu would welcome an additional human or house-dog to interact with.If you have a comfy space, good yard for exploring, and time to enjoy Lulu, she will quickly love you and your family! We are sadly looking to surrender/rehome our dog due to my mother becoming seriously ill and currently being hospitalized. She has been the primary caregiver, and unfortunately she will not be physically able to continue caring for him when/if she is released from the hospital. This has been a very difficult decision for our family, but we want to make sure he goes to a safe, loving home where he can receive the time, attention, and care he deserves. He is a loving, energetic dog with a lot of personality, and we are hoping to find someone experienced and committed who can give him a stable environment. Our priority is finding the best possible home for him during this transition.
