Meet Millie. She was purchased by our family from southern Ohio home when about 5 months old. From long family line of hunting beagles. Millie is 1 years old, birthday 3/21/24. She is so sweet with our 2 kids, has never bit anyone. She has been potty trained and is indoor pet. Millie has had times of getting excited when new people visit and will pee little amount. She loves to play and be around people. Unfortunately, we are moving and have increased time with my aging parent. History of Millie being under your feet and causing falls for my aging parent and then our children are becoming more active in sports, causing us to be away at times during day.

Hi I'm Merlin! I'm a little shy but once you get to know me I'm as sweet as can be. I'm around 6 years old and 45 lbs, and I would do best with a simple, routine life without too much excitement. In fact, I could spend almost all day on the couch with my head on your shoulder. I am vision impaired but once you help me learn where everything is, I do just fine navigating on my own- I'm even crate trained and enjoy having a crate as my "home base". I am perfect with cats and dogs, and would really love a dog friend to help me continue building my confidence. I do need a fenced in yard at my forever home, being on leash is tough for me until I feel super safe and secure. If you're a homebody with a little bit of patience and a gentle soul, I would be the perfect companion for you and I am sure to give you all the love you'll ever need. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter. Arizona has Addison’s disease, which means she takes a pill every day and gets one injection a month—it's part of her routine now, and she's a champ about it. She’s had a bumpy road and can be a little shy at first, so she’ll need some time (and patience!) to get comfortable with new people. Because of her history, we think Arizona would do best in a calm home without young children. She gets along well with mellow dogs and will need a secure backyard for her outdoor adventures. He is everything a beagle should be -- handsome, food motivated, playful, food motivated, friendly, food motivated, good with other dogs, food motivated. Well, you get the picture, he's a typical silly little beagle. He's about 3 years old and fully grown at 27 pounds. He's good with other dogs, loves his toys and craves attention. Jones is housebroken and crate trained. He needs a home with a physically fenced yard so he can run and romp but can't follow his beagle nose into trouble. He would love to have a fur sibling who matches his silliness. If you'd like to meet Jones, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Jones at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
