Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
"CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE?? NO SERIOUSLY, OVER HERE, I NEED YOUR ATTENTION". Sweet MARCY is a fun and friendly girl in need of a home where she'll get plenty of attention because she loves to be loved on. Marcy adores everyone she meets, there are no strangers in her world, only new friends. She loves other dogs, is fine with cats, she's just a generally happy, personable beagle with a tail that never stops. In typical beagle fashion she loves doing zoomie laps around the yard. Marcy lost her home when her parents were no longer able to care for her due to some health issues (theirs, not hers) She's around 3 years old and is either a beagle or beagle mix. Marcy is carrying around way too much extra weight. She's currently 38 pounds but is on a diet to help her slim down so she can feel better and move and play more. She should be 30ish pounds in order to live a long healthy life. Marcy would be so happy to find a home with a physically-fenced yard where she can run and play, plus a cozy sofa where she can cuddle up with her people. Marcy is housebroken and crate trained, she pretty much ticks all the boxes. If you'd like to meet Marcy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Marcy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
Meet KEATS, a happy-go-lucky Beagle mix looking for a home. He is the sweetest boy, always so happy to meet new friends, play and cuddle. Keats is about 4 years old and fully grown at 23 pounds. We believe he's a puggle-type mix, probably more beagle than pug but he has those adorable flippy puggle ears. Keats walks well on a leash, is a perfect passenger in the car and appears to be housebroken. Unfortunately Keats was bitten by the wrong mosquito and has tested positive for heartworms. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON HEARTWORM PREVENTION!! It's not a severe case and he will be undergoing treatment with our vet. He's fine to go to a home and poses no threat to the health of animals or people. He does need to go to a greater Cincinnati-area home in order to accommodate his treatment which will be paid for by the rescue. Keats is fine with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. If you'd like to meet Keats, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Keats at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at Petsmart Eastgate.  Keats will go to an adoptive home on an extended trial adoption basis, his adoption will be finalized after he completes his treatment. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 19, 2026, 3:42 pm

Story
Beautiful BRALEY is a charming young beagle mix pup with a sunny disposition. She's playful and sweet, loves meeting new people and other dogs. She's about 8 months old and 27 pounds. At this point we don't expect her to get much bigger, our best guess is she will top out at 30-32 pounds. She's a leggy girl with a slender body style. Braley has lived happily with kids and enjoys the companionship of other dogs. She's best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard where she can run and romp. If you'd like to meet Braley, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Braley at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmart Eastgate. Story
Beautiful JENN is highly skilled in the art of BFFing. This girl is a ready-made bestie. Just look into those deep soulful eyes and feel the connection. Jenn is a black and tan beagle girl, about 1 year old and fully grown at 30 pounds. She's friendly, medium energy, good with other dogs and shows no interest in cats. She's housebroken and crate trained. Standard beagle rules apply, Jenn needs a physically-fenced yard to keep from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Jenn, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhousrescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Jenn at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmard Eastgate. Story
Meet COWBOY, pure sweetness on 4 legs. He's a gorgeous mixed breed boy with the sweetest face, about 2 years old and fully grown at 34 pounds. Our best guess on breed is beagle/Australian Shepherd plus who knows what else. We're basing that on appearance not personality, he's a fun, playful guy who loves attention, toys, zoomies and hanging out with his people. He loves a good game of fetch. Cowboy is housebroken and would be fine as an only dog or with a "roommate" dog, Cowboy isn't really interested in other dogs, he's all about the people. If you'd like to meet Cowboy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Cowboy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate.
