💖 Adora – The Little Survivor with a Big Heart 💖Adora is exactly what her name says… adorable and an absolute heart stealer. At just 8 months old, this sweet girl has already been through more than most dogs ever should—but you’d never know it by her joyful spirit.Adora came to a shelter with a severely injured foot, and thanks to quick veterinary care, she’s now all fixed up and ready to start her next chapter. Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
Murphy is a 1.5 year old sweet girl. She will be glued to your hip at all times and loves to cuddle and give lots of kisses. She is house trained and crate trained. Has been around cats most of her life and seems to do well with them (although she likes to tease them). She tends to be nervous around new people but warms up quickly for the most part. Murphy loves a good bone and will tear up the toughest chew toy in no time. She loves her walks and will stop to sniff just about anything. She has grown up in an apartment so a new home with a backyard where she can run and play would be best for her as she tends to be pretty energetic. All around murphy would be a great addition to your family.

Story
DOROTHY is a silly easy-to-love beagle girl looking for a home. She's fun and affectionate but also kind of a hoarder. She will drag all toys, chewies, blankies and extra dog beds into her favorite bed, then climb in for a nice snooze. It's adorable. Dorothy is probably 8-9 years old but she doesn't act her age. She enjoys running in the yard with her foster siblings. She isn't playing with them yet but engages in lots of play bows. She's housebroken, crate trained, dog and cat friendly. She's a good sized beagle, her ideal weight is around 30 pounds but she's carrying around a few extra pounds right now. Dorothy needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Dorothy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Dorothy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
MELANIE is a lovely little lemon beagle girl looking for a home. She is petite blondie, about 5 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. Melanie is a little timid when meeting new people an in new situations but she comes around quickly if you offer up some tasty treats. She has been a pure delight in her foster home, an easygoing girl who loves a good cuddle on the sofa and a sniff around the yard. She's dog friendly and enjoys spending time with other dogs but we think she'd be fine as an only dog as well. Melanie is good with kids but toddlers make her nervous. She's housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, basically perfect. Melanie needs a physically fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Melanie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Melanie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmart Eastgate.
