Meet Danni! This beautiful beagle mix is ready for her new adventure. With you! Though our focus is usually on cats, this little lady was abandoned on our road and never claimed by her former "owners". We have fallen in love with her during the short time she's been with us! Sweet, affectionate, and playful, she is the perfect dog in our humble opinion and would do great with a family or a solo pet parent. She loves attention and craves to be with her person 24/7. She is the pupper equivalent of Velcro! She seems to do great on a leash. She is not yet kennel trained. (This needs work!) Danni is a medium-sized dog around 40 pounds. Approximately 1-2 years old. She gets along great with other dogs and is submissive to them. She WILL chase cats if she spots one in the distance, but she coexists peacefully with them when they are in her space. We believe she would also chase livestock if given the opportunity, so she is probably not suited for farm life. She currently lives outside but very much wants to come inside! We envision her being the type of dog who would snuggle on the couch with you after a fun day of hiking! She is currently being trained on an electric fence and learning like a pro. Danni is scheduled for her spay and vetting on September 17th and will be available for adoption after that, but we are accepting applications now. Online Adoption Application ›  Introducing Oliver!   This sweet baby has had a tough start.  We aren't sure how much interaction he has had with humans but he is learning quickly he is loved.  He has entered our prison training program where he is learning basic commands.  However, he is still trying to adjust to being around people who want to love on him.  He is sensitive to sound and touch. He would not be a good fit for an apartment as he can be a bit verbal and will bark in his crate.  We are confident that with the right person and our training program, he will gain confidence and a trust for people. Just look at that precious salt-and-pepper face! Gunter is your typical older beagle; laid back, friendly, and always following his nose! Gunter does have some medical concerns that will require a good relationship with a veterinarian, but he doesn't let that get him down! Gunter is till a happy-go-lucky guy who's ready to put his time in the shelter behind him and find his retirement home. This sweet fella is tiny but mighty, and you can't help but to fall in love with those handsome puppy-dog eyes immediately. 🐾🌟 Meet the SIster Husband from Where the Heart is show. (57 days and still waiting for a forever home)Sister Husband went out for weekend foster this past week and her foster raved over her. Said she was great with her dog, didn't have a single accident, slept good at night, was very sweet, and just an all-around great puppy. Sister Husband is super social with other dogs and people and absolutely adores children! She is very gentle with them and thinks they are best thing since canned dog food. Sister Husband is 5 months old and weighs 26 lbs. We imagine she will get a bit bigger and will likely be around the 40 lb mark full grown, but no guarantees because we don't know what her breeds are. Our guesses are beagle and german shepherd but those are guesses due to her being one of the 5 puppies found on the side of the road starving last month. Sister Husband has put on her weight and is ready to find her own home now. Adoption fee is $200, includes vaccines, dewormer, flea & tick treated, spayed, and will be microchipped upon adoption.
