    Meet Doug. We are helping his family rehome him. Doug is 6 years old and is a Beagle/Jack Russell mix. He is a perfect size at only 29 pounds. Doug is on inexpensive thyroid medicine and medicine for seizures. He will need a home without young children. Doug should have a cat free home but can have a submissive canine companion. MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Scooter is a 3-year-old Beagle/Shepherd mix weighing 47 pounds who is looking for his forever family. This sweet boy came to the rescue very underweight, and thanks to lots of care and good meals, he’s slowly gaining weight and starting to come out of his shell. Scooter already knows how to sit and is eager to keep learning, especially if toys or treats are involved! He walks nicely on a leash and is working on his potty-training. He loves playing with toys, happily chewing on bones, and then winding down for some quality cuddle time. One of his favorite things is simply being part of the family—he wants to be included in whatever you’re doing, whether that’s playtime or a cozy night on the couch. Scooter gets along well with other dogs but has not met children yet. He is currently very curious about the cats in his foster home and is learning how to co-exist with them peacefully. Affectionate, loyal, and full of love, Scooter is a snuggler at heart who’s ready to find a forever home where he can continue to grow, feel safe, and be cherished. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will fill your home with love, Scooter might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training, & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Meet Cora! This 5 year old beagle girl has the most beautiful eyes and soul! Cora weighs about 38 lbs. Cora is dog friendly and loves to play with her canine friends. She also previously lived with a cat (Cora was surrendered to us when her previous owner had some personal medical issues). Cora enjoys playing in her foster mom's backyard. She is good with her foster mom's grandchildren but seems to prefer canine companionship over human companionship right now. She comes to humans for pets and scratches, but isn't a cuddler. Cora is crate trained and stays in her crate when her foster mom is away. She wasn't potty trained at first, but with structure Cora caught on fast and hasn't had an accident in a while. Smart girl! Meet Esther! This active girl is ready for her new home! Esther enjoys nylabones and chasing balls, but should be supervised with stuffed toys, as she is a bit of a super chewer! Esther loves being outside, and is a high energy walker. She already knows how to sit on command and is very receptive to treats and pets!  Kids: Esther does like children, but can be mouthy during play.  Dogs: Esther did well with other dogs in the household. Cats: Esther has never lived with cats, proper introduction is advised. PLEASE NOTE: How an animal reacted to other pets, children, and guests in previous situations is not always indiciative of their behavior in a new home. Introductions to any of the above should always be performed cautiously and under supervision.
