Update Suki did fantastic meeting new dogs, as suspected she is dog friendly ;-) Suki does doggie Daycare at Paws by the Lake. Suki is approximately 1 year old 43 lbs. Suki is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows "sit". She is definitely some type of beagle/hound mix because her nose is to the ground. Maybe some Shar-Pei too. She will need work with walking well on a lead. Suki has an amazing personality! Our friends from the Lorain County Dog Kennel asked us to take Suki because she needed entropion surgery on both eyes. Dr Lamb and Dr Roll at the Avon Lake Animal Clinic did the surgery and her sutures came out 7/31/26. Her eyes look great, she gained some weight and she feels so much better! Her hair grew back from a flea allergy and she looks beautiful. Suki was also spayed, completely vaccinated and microchipped at the ALAC. Now this awesome girl will need a foster home while we search for a forever home! If you are interested in Suki, please submit an online application, so we can learn a little about you to make sure Suki would be a good match for you and your family. It's always a bonus if she could score a fenced in yard ;-) We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Meet Storm! 🐾 Storm is an adult beagle with plenty of energy and a playful personality. Like many beagles, she enjoys staying active and loves having a job to do, especially if it involves chasing after a ball. Smart, curious, and full of enthusiasm, Storm would do well with a family ready to keep her engaged through play, walks, and attention. With time to settle in and burn off some energy, she is sure to make a fun and loyal companion. Update: Storm has now graduated from the GRC program! While at GRC she received one-on-one training, including working on her basic commands. Her trainer reports Storm is very affectionate and eager to please, and played great with other dogs. When she is tired out, she loved to sleep at her trainer's feet, and under a blanket if available! The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Aayla is a 100% purebred beagle. She was born to a mom who was found wandering the road in Ashland, OH. She is every bit beagle. Aayla is 6 and has so much life to live still. She loves to run and watch the birds. She has a ton of energy so finding someone who can keep up is essential. With all that energy sometimes she forgets about her surroundings. She is good around children of all ages. She is house trained and crate trained. She is food motivated and loves to cuddle under blankets with you. She is used to having the ability to go in and out of the house as she pleases with her doggy door. She is loyal and would make a great dog. She does well with other dogs (cats untested). We want her to have a home that can keep up with her and give her everything she could ever want. Would prefer to rehome her with our other dog (Baymax) but understand if that’s not possible. She will come with crate, food bowl, etc

**UPDATE** I HAVE BOTH OF THEM UP TO DATE ON SHOTS AND BOTH HAVE COME BACK WITH A NEGATIVE HEARTWORM TEST!! This is Bob (tan male) and Boba (black female) they are 5yr beagle labs mix together since birth neither of them are fixed I would be willing to split the cost of the procedure if necessary. I have not had the opportunity to have them around other animals so I dont know how they would be but they are spectacular around kids I am looking to rehome them because they are just not living the doggy dream with us my family dynamic has changed over the last year and it is not giving the love and time these dogs deserve. I am also moving in the near future and cannot take these dogs with me! located in central huron county

Bailey is a sweet girl. She is about 8 years old years old, her birthday is October 31st 2018, we adopted Her from shelter with unknown background. She just wants to lay in your lap or watch out of the window or sleep curled up with you. she loves going on walks and getting treats and literally just being close to you. Bailey would do best with a dog owner who understand hypersensitivity as she does not like commotion or a lot of noise; We have 4 kids and she is good with them, but when there is a lot of commotion and kids running around the house she gets very anxious. She get stressed very easily and would do best in a one dog home but gets along with other dogs. We cannot give her the calm and quiet life she deserves and just want to see someone love her in an environment that is good for her!
