This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Story
Meet Paisley, a gentle beagle girl whose heart is finally ready to bloom. Paisley was found wandering as a stray in Mississippi, scared, skin raw with mange, skinny and hungry. When she was finally caught and brought to the shelter over a year ago, she was timid and unsure of the world. But with time, kindness, and steady care, Paisley is slowly rediscovering what it means to feel safe.Today, Paisley loves to go outside, stretch her legs, and run free—her beagle nose in the air, ears bouncing, soaking up every bit of sunshine. She is well-mannered, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys exploring at her own pace.Meeting new people can still make her a bit shy at first, but once she trusts you, she becomes affectionate and loyal. She has done well with children she’s met, gently accepting their attention and company. With other dogs, Paisley can be selective—some she’s perfectly fine with, others she prefers to avoid. Her ideal home will be one that listens to her comfort level and respects her space.Paisley isn’t just looking for a place to sleep—she’s searching for someone patient enough to let her continue to blossom, someone who sees not just who she is today but who she is becoming. Watching this girl learn to love and trust again is a truly rewarding experience. If you’re ready to be the chapter in Paisley’s story where everything finally gets better, she’s waiting—soft eyes, steady heart, and so much hope.Name: PaisleyBreed: Beagle/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 42.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testing. Adoption Donation  $ 499 Located:  in RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx 5 years old Weight: 30 lbs.   Lucy is a five year-old purebred beagle. She’s super sweet with people. but would do best if she was the only animal in a home. She can be territorial about food and sleeping arrangements with other animals. Good news is she is not a barker, which is amazing for a beagle.! She enjoys her walks and of course chasing a scent. Her favorite pastime is chasing a laser light pen and of course eating!! She is crate, trained, and potty trained too!  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information: wavesofhealing@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.  Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. Story
Meet Coop, a teenage beagle/dachshund mix with lots of personality and confidence in a little low-rider body.  Coop is playful, super friendly and totally unfazed by the fact all his friends are bigger than him. He loves to zoom around the yard and have all his doggy friends chase him.  Coop is likely full grown at 8-9 months old and approximately 30 lbs. He has a beagle body and demeanor, and a dachshund face, but he may also have other breeds in the mix.  Coop was a stray who spent almost two months at the shelter before his foster mom brought him home. While we don’t know his past, Coop acts as if nothing bad has ever happened to him. He’s a confident little fella who greets every dog and human he meets with lots of love, including kids. He’s super affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses.  Coop is a very well-adjusted boy and would be an easy addition to almost any home. He’s potty trained, crate trained and walks great on a leash. He would do well in an apartment with an active owner who wants to walk him and take him to run around at the dog park. Or he would do great paired with another playful dog at a home with a big fenced-in yard. Coop is energetic, but he is happy to chill after his morning walk or playtime. He’s a really good boy who could easily be taken along for all of life’s adventures! If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
Meet Bailey! Bailey is sweet and soft beagle mix who came in with her father, Kobe. Bailey is affectionate, low energy, and easy to care for in the home. Her beagle side can come out in the form of baying and barking - and she's thrilled when Kobe joins in on the chorus. She has lived with kids, cats, and dogs before which makes her the perfect family pet. If you are interested in Bailey, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email cshamgochian@parl.org to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Benny is a fun, energetic, and affectionate dog who absolutely loves to play and gets along well with other dogs. He has a big heart and shows endless love and loyalty to everyone around him. I rescued Benny from a kill shelter in Alabama in 2022, and he’s been a wonderful companion ever since. He’s now 3 years old and full of life. Unfortunately, due to increasing expenses, I’m looking to find him a new home where he’ll continue to receive the love, attention, and care he deserves. Benny would thrive with someone who enjoys being active and wants a loving, playful dog by their side.
