Story
This is Little Debbie and she is sweet as an oatmeal cream pie. She was given to someone as a gift which is always a bad idea. The recipient of the gift could not keep her. Her breed is just a guess because we do not know her mother or father. The guess is beagle boxer mix. At 10 weeks, she weighs 8 pounds. She will probably be on the small to medium side Little Debbie has the perfect puppy personality. She is playful and sociable. She plays well with all the dogs in her foster home. Her fur is super soft. She rides in the car well and loves everyone she meets. Little Debbie is smart and almost completely potty trained. If you're interested in adding a puppy to your family, Little Debbie just might be the one for you.🐕 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Age:   approx 1 years old   Weight: 41  lbs My adoption fee is $ 250 which includes transportation charges to the Northeast.   Betty has arrived in Rhode Island from Louisiana and she is terrific!  This black and white mixed breed beauty is reminiscent of cookies and cream ice cream, and every bit as sweet!   At approximately a year old and 41 pounds, Betty is pretty much full grown.  She will need training, continued exercise and mental stimulation to keep her busy and tired and her best self.   Betty walks nicely on leash and is a good car rider too!  She enjoys the company of other dogs for a little race and chase, followed by some snuggling.  Betty needs to be the only dog in the home because she can be food aggressive with other dogs. If you serious about adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website:   https://www.smalldogrescuene.org/July 26, 2024, 3:20 pm

Story
Joker is one of six adorable little souls were rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Mississippi. Found on a property with their mom (who is also available for adoption through us) and many other dogs in dire conditions, their story is one of resilience and hope. A dedicated local rescuer went above and beyond to save as many dogs as possible from that dire situation, and we are thrilled to have this lovely family in our care. Here's a link to their story on FB - be prepared - the pictures are depressing at best:https://www.facebook.com/share/ghrUMnQNEhNQazDB/?mibextid=WC7FNeThese typically sweet puppies are well-socialized with other dogs, animals, and people of all ages. Their momma, April, is a pit/beagle mix who is super gentle and sweet.Joker is doing great with housebreaking and learning commands. He is smart, eager to please, food-motivated, and well-behaved. He is happy to take long naps after a fun play session. Hard chew toys keep him occupied for good chunks of time. He is great in the crate with his sister. Joker is loving, devoted, watchful, cautious, solid, and has a big bark. He enjoys being by his fosters side and follows them in and out. He loves to be loved. This sweet boy is eager to find his forever home and bring joy to his new family.
