Story
Benny is a fun, energetic, and affectionate dog who absolutely loves to play and gets along well with other dogs. He has a big heart and shows endless love and loyalty to everyone around him. I rescued Benny from a kill shelter in Alabama in 2022, and he’s been a wonderful companion ever since. He’s now 3 years old and full of life. Unfortunately, due to increasing expenses, I’m looking to find him a new home where he’ll continue to receive the love, attention, and care he deserves. Benny would thrive with someone who enjoys being active and wants a loving, playful dog by their side.

Story
Meet Coop, a teenage beagle/dachshund mix with lots of personality and confidence in a little low-rider body.  Coop is playful, super friendly and totally unfazed by the fact all his friends are bigger than him. He loves to zoom around the yard and have all his doggy friends chase him.  Coop is likely full grown at 8-9 months old and approximately 30 lbs. He has a beagle body and demeanor, and a dachshund face, but he may also have other breeds in the mix.  Coop was a stray who spent almost two months at the shelter before his foster mom brought him home. While we don’t know his past, Coop acts as if nothing bad has ever happened to him. He’s a confident little fella who greets every dog and human he meets with lots of love, including kids. He’s super affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses.  Coop is a very well-adjusted boy and would be an easy addition to almost any home. He’s potty trained, crate trained and walks great on a leash. He would do well in an apartment with an active owner who wants to walk him and take him to run around at the dog park. Or he would do great paired with another playful dog at a home with a big fenced-in yard. Coop is energetic, but he is happy to chill after his morning walk or playtime. He’s a really good boy who could easily be taken along for all of life’s adventures! Story
Meet Bailey! Bailey is sweet and soft beagle mix who came in with her father, Kobe. Bailey is affectionate, low energy, and easy to care for in the home. Her beagle side can come out in the form of baying and barking - and she's thrilled when Kobe joins in on the chorus. She has lived with kids, cats, and dogs before which makes her the perfect family pet. If you are interested in Bailey, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email cshamgochian@parl.org to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Meet Josie: an extraordinary little survivor with a LOT of love to give. Our staff and volunteer team are OBSESSED with this girl. Josie is a 6 year old, female, Beagle/Pug mix with a calm, gentle presence. She’s ready to begin her next chapter is looking for a foster or forever home. Josie’s past has been incredibly hard. She came from a rough situation and narrowly escaped euthanasia at a high kill shelter — rescued just HOURS before her time ran out. Even after all she’s endured, she remains remarkably sweet and affectionate. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love to have a friendly canine companion. She does well in the car and loves anytime spent out of a cage. Josie is looking for a quiet home where she can truly exhale, settle in, and rediscover what it feels like to be safe. She is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed. ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely.
