Story
Meet Ralph! Ralph is a handsome tricolor Beagle who is ready to leave his days as an outside dog behind and discover just how wonderful it can be to have a family of his very own.At seven years old, Ralph is a sweet, gentle guy who loves people and enjoys being held. He’s the kind of dog who would love to become someone’s little buddy—the companion who follows you through life and happily soaks up all the love you have to give.Ralph was found as a stray, his foster suspects Ralph has spent most, if not all, of his life living outdoors. He is now ready for the next chapter: becoming a cherished inside dog. Ralph will need some patience and guidance as he learns house manners, but he is already showing that he can make the transition. He is "sort of" crate trained—he would much rather be out with his people, but he doesn't panic when crated and keeps his kennel clean. He will need continued work potty. training. Ralph currently goes outside with two larger dogs. Their excitement can be a little overwhelming for him, and he doesn't play with them, but he has done well going out with them. We hope to introduce him to some Beagle friends soon to see if he enjoys canine companionship with dogs who are a little more his speed. His history with cats and children is unknown.Ralph has had very little experience with a leash or car rides, but he has already shown that he can learn. He has been on a leash twice and did well, and he handled two short car trips beautifully while crated. What Ralph really needs is someone who will make him their little buddy. Someone patient enough to teach him how wonderful indoor life can be, and loving enough to show him that he is finally home.Ralph may need to learn the ropes, but he is ready to love and be loved. If you're looking for a sweet Beagle companion who would love nothing more than to be your special little guy, Ralph may be the one you've been waiting for.All known information about the animal is listed above.
