Story
Rabbit is in the Adoption Ambassador foster program. Foster families take animals into their homes and help them get adopted. This is what his foster is saying about him: Meet Rabbit! (But we’ve been calling him Buddy). A sweet petite beagle mix. He came to us before the storm. He is a bundle of playful energy, mixed with an ability to chill and snuggle when he’s done running. His antics will keep you laughing. I wonder if he was an agility dog in a former life?We have learned a lot about him!- Dog friendly - Cat friendly - Kid lover (favorite spot is next to my daughter)- Vocal when he is playing and having fun!- Crate trainedWorking on potty training (fast learner)Likes to counter surf (although not successful) understands “no” quickly. He would be an excellent addition to any home! Easily adapts to his environment.Interested in Rabbit?! Contact our foster team at BerkeleyCampus@charlestonanimalsociety.org or 843-719-5050 (leave a message if no answer)

Story
Lucy is a very sweet and loving girl. She is around 5 years old. She loves people, kids especially and loves attention. She loves to run and play. One of her favorite things to do is play fetch with a tennis ball. She loves to cuddle on the couch and in the bed from time to time as well. She is a great family dog and she is very energetic. She needs a loving home, ideally with a big yard to run and play in. She would be a wonderful addition to anyone's family. We need to rehome her as my daughter has recently developed severe allergies due to her dander

Story
Hera was running the streets, pregnant, scared and just about ready to give birth. Thanks to some wonderful people, they were able to trap her and get her to us so she didn't have to have her babies in the freezing cold. She gave birth to six beautiful puppies in December and has been busy in mom mode. She came to us scared and timid, and has been learning that humans aren't so bad, especially when they have pieces of chicken to share. While still skittish around new people, she is a sweet girl once you gain her trust. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes. Story
She’s so pretty! Jessie Jane is shy but such a sweet girl. She comes out of her shell quickly and then you get to see her goofy, playful side. She is settling into her foster home and learning how to dog. Jessie would love another canine in her forever home. She can be nervous around kids but we think she’d be fine with older children. She just needs some time to learn the routine and know she’s safe. And she’s worth it! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Story
Fievel came to us with two large masses on his back. We had them removed when he was neutered and happy to report the masses were benign! His scars are healing up and we’re working on helping him shed a few lbs. He loves to lay outside in the sun and sleep in his foster mom’s bed each night. He does great with other dogs and enjoys his daily walks with his canine friends. Fievel is calm yet stubborn. He is quiet inside and outside will sound the alarm if there is anything that catches his attention in the yard. Your typical complex, yet highly lovable beagle! **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible.
