Story
Meet Tony,Tony is in the Adoption Ambassador foster program. Foster families take dogs into their homes and help them get adopted. This is what his foster is saying about him:We don’t know much about Tony’s past… but we know it wasn’t an easy one. What we do know is that this sweet boy is endlessly grateful for every soft bed, every gentle touch, and every bit of love he receives — because it’s clear he went far too long without it.Tony is truly just a ray of sunshine. He’s the kind of dog who quietly melts into you, soaking up affection like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. And honestly… he probably has.He is:- Housetrained & crate trained- Lazy, snuggly, and full of love- Wonderful with kids- Dog friendly & cat friendly- Walks beautifully on leashTony doesn’t ask for much — just a safe place, kind hands, and someone to love him back as deeply as he loves. Watching him discover comfort and affection has been the sweetest gift. Now he just needs a forever family to show him that this soft, happy life is his from here on out. Story
Meet Felix, a little beagle with a big heart and a whole lot of resilience. He’s been through more than his fair share, but you’d never know it from the way he leans in for cuddles and happily soaks up love from anyone willing to give it. Felix is gentle, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented- he truly just wants to be close. He has that classic beagle curiosity and a quiet eagerness to explore, balanced by a soft, cuddly nature that makes him an easy companion. Felix would thrive in a home where he can feel safe, loved, and finally settled. If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick who will return your kindness tenfold, Felix is ready for you! You can find him at Charleston Animal Society on Remount Road in North Charleston!

Story
Hera was running the streets, pregnant, scared and just about ready to give birth. Thanks to some wonderful people, they were able to trap her and get her to us so she didn't have to have her babies in the freezing cold. She gave birth to six beautiful puppies in December and has been busy in mom mode. She came to us scared and timid, and has been learning that humans aren't so bad, especially when they have pieces of chicken to share. While still skittish around new people, she is a sweet girl once you gain her trust. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes. Please understand that we are an all volunteer group and we have jobs outside of this organization.  We do our best to provide quick responses but occasionally they are a little slower.  If you do not receive a response in 48 hours, please resend to make sure it's received. ##2604168##

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Fievel came to us with two large masses on his back. We had them removed when he was neutered and happy to report the masses were benign! His scars are healing up and we’re working on helping him shed a few lbs. He loves to lay outside in the sun and sleep in his foster mom’s bed each night. He does great with other dogs and enjoys his daily walks with his canine friends. Fievel is calm yet stubborn. He is quiet inside and outside will sound the alarm if there is anything that catches his attention in the yard. Your typical complex, yet highly lovable beagle! **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment.
