Story
Meet Parka 🤍 Parka is a 45-pound, middle-aged beagle mix who has been waiting over two years for her forever home, continuously overlooked because she is a timid girl. We know her person is out there. When Parka first entered the shelter, she was labeled “reactive” and came very close to losing her life due to her fear of people and other dogs. What no one knew at the time was that she was pregnant and nearing labor which explained her fearfulness. Shortly after arriving in foster care, she gave birth. Despite everything, she was a devoted, loving mom. Her one surviving puppy has long since been adopted—but Parka is still waiting. Since then, Parka has overcome so much. She completed heartworm treatment and had a tumor removed, and today she is fully vetted, healthy, and ready for a fresh start. She has gained a ton of confidence in her foster home and even did a board and train with a professional trainer to learn basic commands and build more confidence. Parka is a really good dog. She’s gentle, sweet, and thrives in a calm home. She loves other dogs and gains so much confidence from them, so a home with another friendly dog is a must for her. With her foster mom, she is affectionate and loyal. She can be a little shy with new people (especially men), but with patience and kindness, she warms up beautifully. She might always remain timid with men, so any men - if any - in her forever home have to be extra patient with her. She is crate trained, potty trained, and does great in the home. She's gained amazing leash skills and now goes out and about with her foster mom and fur sibling. After everything she’s been through, Parka is simply looking for peace, love, and someone who will make her feel safe forever. She has so much love left to give, she just needs someone to give her the chance. Meet and greets and adoption trials are available! Apply at: BridgeBetweenAnimalRescue.org/adopt 📍 Parka is our only dog located in Fort Mill, SC

Story
Hera was running the streets, pregnant, scared and just about ready to give birth. Thanks to some wonderful people, they were able to trap her and get her to us so she didn't have to have her babies in the freezing cold. She gave birth to six beautiful puppies in December and has been busy in mom mode. She came to us scared and timid, and has been learning that humans aren't so bad, especially when they have pieces of chicken to share. While still skittish around new people, she is a sweet girl once you gain her trust. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Story
Siri found herself stuck in a rural shelter in rough shape. She has proven to be a resilient, kind, little ray of sunshine. She's on some medications that are helping to resolve her skin issues and we can't wait to see her inner beauty shine through. She is playful, affectionate, and will either sleep through the night in her favorite dog bed or curled up next to you. She loves other dogs, playing with toys, and receiving treats! In typical beagle fashion, she can be sound asleep in another room and hear you walk into the kitchen and assume you’re getting something for her to eat. She is always excited to see you and will make a great addition to a loving home. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Story
Fievel came to us with two large masses on his back. We had them removed when he was neutered and happy to report the masses were benign! His scars are healing up and we’re working on helping him shed a few lbs. He loves to lay outside in the sun and sleep in his foster mom’s bed each night. He does great with other dogs and enjoys his daily walks with his canine friends. Fievel is calm yet stubborn. He is quiet inside and outside will sound the alarm if there is anything that catches his attention in the yard. Your typical complex, yet highly lovable beagle! Fievel has completed his heartworm treatment and ready to find his forever home! Story
If you’ve ever wanted your life to feel like a cartoon… meet Phineas & Ferb 🐾🎬 These two are part of a group of 12 pups found as strays, and while we wish we could’ve taken them all, Phineas & Ferb were the lucky ones we were able to pull into rescue. Now fully vetted and living the good life, they’re ready to bring nonstop entertainment (and cuddles) to their forever homes 💛 At around 5.5–6 months old, these boys are basset mixes with the most hilarious, lovable builds—think short little legs + long hot dog bodies = instant serotonin 😂 They’ve got that classic hound charm with a goofy twist, and everywhere they go, they make people smile. Their personalities match their looks—so sweet, so silly, and full of life. They love other dogs, enjoy playtime, and are always down for a good cuddle after they’ve burned off some puppy energy. They’re the kind of dogs who will keep you laughing one minute and melt into you the next 🥹 And we have to talk about Ferb for a second… his rich mahogany coat is absolutely stunning—he’s like a little low-rider model with the best coloring to match 🤎 Considering where they came from, these boys have such bright spirits and so much love to give. Now all they need is a family to keep their story going in the best way possible 🏡 If you’re ready for double the laughs, double the love, and a whole lot of personality, Phineas & Ferb are your guys. Apply to adopt through our website 🐶✨
