Story
Meet Stella (Molly)! The perfect active companion who can go all day, or just chill and relax. 1.5-2 years old and 28-30 pounds of solid muscle who loves to run and would do great with a similar sized pup friend!Formal positive training (6sessions)Come, sit, down, stay, place, focus (eye contact) and off (or leave it). She is treat motivated, and is smart as a whip! The healer and beagle in her shine when it comes to training! She loves playing fetch too!She does need more help with loose leash walking, and she did great with the trainer on this! She wants nothing more than belly rubs, and to snuggle with her person. Needs someone on the active side since she does like to “work”. She is so smart i bet she’d learn advanced commands and “tricks” for treats. Loves meeting new people and would love another pup to play chase with. All training homework is available to her forever family.Meet Stella (Molly)! The perfect active companion who can go all day, or just chill and relax. 28-30 pounds of solid muscle. Is in foster care, where she’s learned perfect manners on house training (she will let you know if she needs potty time)! We have done some formal positive training where she’s learned basic obedience skills. Come, sit, down, stay, place, focus (eye contact) and off (or leave it). She is treat motivated, and is smart as a whip! The healer and beagle in her shine when it comes to training! She loves playing fetch too!She does need more help with loose leash walking, and she did great with the trainer on this!Current foster mom has shoulder and  back issues that have prevented us from working on that as much as we should—no fault of hers! She wants nothing more than belly rubs, and to snuggle with her person. Needs someone on the active side since she does like to “work”. She is so smart i bet she’d learn advanced commands and “tricks” for treats. Loves people and would love another pup to play chase with. Is fine with cats unless they run, then she wants to chase them and boss them too (but has never hurt them). That would probably improve with more structured walks and exercise. All training homework is available to her forever family.Stella Loves to play ball and brings it back! Wants to be close to, snuggle and gives lots (and lots) of kisses to her people. Is learning sit, down, and come, needs more leash work as she likes to “herd” her person. Too curious about cats, and wants to chase or “herd” them too! Loves to run in the yard and wants a buddy to chase, or for them chase her. Fully of energy and has a friendly, loving disposition to all the people she meets. Working on house training.Stella is about a year old, 22 pounds and a beagle heeler mixAvailable dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made. The application is the first step. Story
Meet Chief — a 6-year-old beagle mix with a love for the great outdoors and a current weight of 42 pounds. Yes, the boy is a little extra fluffy at the moment, but don’t worry…Chief has officially entered his wellness era. He’s currently working on a diet and exercise routine and would love a family willing to cheer him on during his fitness journey. Chief has spent most of his life outdoors and is happiest when he’s outside sniffing around, exploring, or simply lounging in the fresh air. He’s very friendly with people, enjoys attention, and doesn’t mind a good spa day either. Baths? Brushing? Pampering? Chief says yes, please. Like many good beagles, Chief likes to announce when strangers arrive. He can be a bit barky at first, but once he realizes you’re a friend and not an intruder trying to steal his snacks, he settles right down. He’s also gentle on leash and easy to walk, making him a great companion for relaxed strolls and backyard adventures. Chief would prefer to be the only dog in the home, though he has lived successfully with another dog in the past. Because he can be selective about his canine companions, a meet and greet is required if there’s another dog in the household. Chief is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find a home where he can enjoy the simple things in life: sunshine, snacks in moderation, and people who love a classic hound dog personality. Stop by the Williamson County Animal Center to meet him!
