Toby is a 2-year-old Beagle/Australian Sheperd mix boy, who has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. Toby was found starving, dirty, and so very lonely. Today he is bordering on “fluffy”, and has a lovely shiny coat and the deepest brown eyes you can imagine. He knows how to work those big brown eyes to make you stop and give him a kiss, a tummy rub, or maybe a treat. He loves to sit in your lap or swing on the porch swing with you! Hi I'm Scout! They say that wisdom comes with age, and I've learned a lot in my 7 years. I've learned how much I love having a family, and I sure do miss having one now. I've been through a bit of a rough patch, but a good Samaritan found me and brought me to the Ark. Back then I had heartworms and needed to have a bit of dental work done. But that's all behind me now! Now I'm fit as a fiddle, and just because I'm a 'senior' now, that just makes me the perfect age to still have fun, but also know how to chill and watch a good movie with my family! When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Beagle mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Story

Chloe is a very energetic, sweet, smart young girl. We rescued her from a shelter. She obviously had some training when we got her. Since, we have employed a professional trainer as her energy level made it difficult for us to control. My wife and I are both 73 with health issues. She loves people and is so excited when my son and my grandchildren visit. She needs a family to love and a yard to run in. Chloe is up to date with her shots and medication. Walks, people visits, fetch and tug of war is how she likes to spend her days before she curls up next to us and sleeps soundly all night.
