The perfect active companion who can go all day, or just chill and relax. 1.5-2 years old and 28-30 pounds of solid muscle who loves to run and would do great with a similar sized pup friend!Formal positive training (6sessions)Come, sit, down, stay, place, focus (eye contact) and off (or leave it). She is treat motivated, and is smart as a whip! The healer and beagle in her shine when it comes to training! She loves playing fetch too!She does need more help with loose leash walking, and she did great with the trainer on this!She wants nothing more than belly rubs, and to snuggle with her person. Needs someone on the active side since she does like to “work”. She is so smart i bet she’d learn advanced commands and “tricks” for treats. Loves meeting new people and would love another pup to play chase with. All training homework is available to her forever family.Meet Stella (Molly)! Is fine with cats unless they run, then she wants to chase them and boss them too (but has never hurt them). That would probably improve with more structured walks and exercise. All training homework is available to her forever family.Stella Loves to play ball and brings it back! Wants to be close to, snuggle and gives lots (and lots) of kisses to her people. Is learning sit, down, and come, needs more leash work as she likes to “herd” her person. Too curious about cats, and wants to chase or “herd” them too! Loves to run in the yard and wants a buddy to chase, or for them chase her. Fully of energy and has a friendly, loving disposition to all the people she meets. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs. Nick (and his 2 sisters) were turned into a shelter when his mom became seriously ill.He's 8 years young, such a loving little 22 lb PRECIOUS guy who can't understand why his life has been turned upside down, but is quietly handling it. He takes those all important treats like the gentleman he is, often hiding them for later.He seems crate trained, walks well on leash, traveled well, trusts quickly, loves even faster and deeply, giving the biggest kisses ever. He's a happy and gentle little guy who will make no great demand on you but you'll gladly give him the love and belly rubs he greatly deserves and loves. Special needs pup seeking a forever home Meet Keller (A565112), a sweet senior girl whose world changed suddenly when her owner became seriously ill. Before coming to us, Keller spent the last eight years in a loving home with people who truly understood and cherished her. She isn’t here because she wasn’t loved. She’s here because life took an unexpected turn, and now she needs someone new to be her steady place to land.Keller is deaf and experiences the world entirely through sight. When she feels unsure or wants something, she may bark loudly, not out of aggression, but out of confusion and stress. The shelter has been a tough adjustment for her because, from her perspective, no one is responding. Even so, her gentle personality still shines through. She greets you with soft tail wags, leans into you for comfort, and happily accepts treats, taking them very gently like the good girl she is.She arrived with two other senior dogs who were smaller than her and did well alongside them, so we believe Keller could thrive in a home with other calm, laid back dogs her age who respect her space. Photos truly do not do this girl justice. Keller is beautiful in person, a perfect medium size with just a little extra chub that makes her even more lovable. What she needs now is a patient, understanding home that communicates through kindness, routine, and visual cues. Keller is guesstimated to be 8 years old and weighs 55 lbs.
