The perfect active companion who can go all day, or just chill and relax. 1.5-2 years old and 28-30 pounds of solid muscle who loves to run and would do great with a similar sized pup friend!Formal positive training (6sessions)Come, sit, down, stay, place, focus (eye contact) and off (or leave it). She is treat motivated, and is smart as a whip! The healer and beagle in her shine when it comes to training! She loves playing fetch too!She does need more help with loose leash walking, and she did great with the trainer on this!She wants nothing more than belly rubs, and to snuggle with her person. Needs someone on the active side since she does like to “work”. She is so smart i bet she’d learn advanced commands and “tricks” for treats. Loves meeting new people and would love another pup to play chase with. All training homework is available to her forever family.Meet Stella (Molly)! Is fine with cats unless they run, then she wants to chase them and boss them too (but has never hurt them). That would probably improve with more structured walks and exercise. All training homework is available to her forever family.Stella Loves to play ball and brings it back! Wants to be close to, snuggle and gives lots (and lots) of kisses to her people. Is learning sit, down, and come, needs more leash work as she likes to “herd” her person. Too curious about cats, and wants to chase or “herd” them too! Loves to run in the yard and wants a buddy to chase, or for them chase her. Fully of energy and has a friendly, loving disposition to all the people she meets. Meet Ralph (A565926). This tender hearted young pup arrived as a stray and, sadly, no one has come forward to reclaim him. He is still just a baby, though, and we know the right home is out there waiting.Ralph can be a little timid at first, as if his past experiences with people may have been limited. He takes a moment to figure you out. But once he warms up, he is incredibly trusting and so very sweet. He will happily settle at your feet and soak up full body rubs like he has been waiting his whole life for that kind of affection. We cannot talk about Ralph without mentioning his adorable little bob tail. It makes him look like a tiny honey bear, and it is simply impossible not to smile when you see it. It gives him so much character and charm.He has been tested with female dogs and did very well. He enjoys treats, and if you need a little help winning him over, snacks are absolutely the way to Ralph’s heart. Ralph just needs patience, kindness, and someone willing to let him blossom at his own pace. In return, you will get one very loyal, very gentle best friend.Ralph is guesstimated to be 8 months old and weighs 35 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.Ready to meet Ralph? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find him in kennel D31. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID
