This sweet 5-year-old Beagle mix received his name because he was given a second chance at life—and he has embraced it with his whole heart. Despite everything he's been through, Chance has never lost his love for people. His tail still wags, his eyes still light up when he sees you, and he still believes that his forever family is out there waiting for him. Chance is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with his people, and has a gentle, loving personality that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. He is good with other dogs and indifferent with cats. Chance is currently heartworm positive, but that doesn't define who he is. He is receiving treatment and deserves the comfort of a loving home while he completes his journey to recovery. Meet Butch Cassidy, a 2 year old 18 lbs. He spent more than six months roaming the streets of a small town with his sidekick, Sundance Kid. When Butch was finally live-trapped, he discovered just how wonderful life could be in a foster home. Regular meals, a warm bed, and plenty of TLC have shown Butch that people can be pretty great! Butch especially loves having a lap to curl up on and simply being around his humans. This sweet boy would make a wonderful companion dog but must go into a home with a very secure fence. He's patiently waiting for someone to give him the loving forever home he deserves. Butches adoption fee has been sponsored by one of our supporters with the rescue. . Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
