Story
Meet Sundance, one of the little outlaws who ran around Stuarts Draft for months before being apprehended! Sundance is a young adult and only weighs 18 lbs! He's just a little rascal! Sundance is a shy pup who needs someone patient enough to give him time come out of his shell. He can be scared and nervous around new people and is a serious flight risk, so a secure yard and a calm environment is a must for him. Behind his fear is a gentle dog who just needs time, consistency, and someone willing to show them that the world can be a safe place. Sundance loves to play with other dogs and will even chase a ball for fun! A quiet home, secure fencing, and a family committed to earning their trust would be ideal. Please give this scared pup the chance to feel safe and loved. He deserves a forever home where he can finally relax and be himself. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3 charitable, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Story
Meet Butch Cassidy, a 2 year old 18 lbs. He spent more than six months roaming the streets of a small town with his sidekick, Sundance Kid. When Butch was finally live-trapped, he discovered just how wonderful life could be in a foster home. Regular meals, a warm bed, and plenty of TLC have shown Butch that people can be pretty great! Butch especially loves having a lap to curl up on and simply being around his humans. This sweet boy would make a wonderful companion dog but must go into a home with a very secure fence. He's patiently waiting for someone to give him the loving forever home he deserves. Butches adoption fee has been sponsored by one of our supporters with the rescue. . Story
You never know what you might find in a cardboard box! These little cuties came to us after being rescued my a good samaritan from the side of the road. They are about 10-11 weeks old and weigh about 6-8 pounds. Their short little legs make us wonder if they are dashund mixes but any guess on breed would only be a guess! These boys are happy and friendly and sure to be a great addition to your family! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3 charitable, foster- based rescue. Story
🐾 Meet Chance 🐾 Some dogs are given a name that fits them perfectly, and Chance is one of them. This sweet 5-year-old Beagle mix received his name because he was given a second chance at life—and he has embraced it with his whole heart. Despite everything he's been through, Chance has never lost his love for people. His tail still wags, his eyes still light up when he sees you, and he still believes that his forever family is out there waiting for him. Chance is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with his people, and has a gentle, loving personality that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. Chance is currently heartworm positive, but that doesn't define who he is. He is receiving treatment and deserves the comfort of a loving home while he completes his journey to recovery. His future is bright, and all he needs now is someone willing to give him the love and security he has always deserved. ❤️ Chance was given a second chance at life. Could you be the one to give him his second chance at a forever home?

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org
