Story
Jack was rescued by my ex husband from a neglectful home about 10 yrs ago. He was younger than one at the time. The positives for Jack are many. Neutered, utd on vaccines, VERY friendly with people and other dogs. He got used to my cat after a week. He rarely barks, he’s house trained, and other than occasional brushing and nail clipping, he doesn’t need to be groomed. He’s still pretty active for his age. Loves walks, and will play. Jack is VERY food motivated, and is now on a diet, just because he gained so much weight in the last couple years. IMO, his only negative is that he pulls on the leash, and he is very strong. He’s rarely ill. No chronic conditions. My ex husband is too sick to care for him, and although Jack is with me now, he’s not allowed to stay in my apartment building. I always frowned upon people rehoming dogs, so I feel bad doing this, although he is able to adapt easily because he loves people. The adoption fee is 50.00

Story
Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. Bridget was brought in with her babies and is now ready for a new home. She is friendly and likes to be with people. She has done well in a crate and has gotten along with other dogs. She is housebroken with a dog door, not sure without. She loves a good couch with someone to hang with. We aren't sure about kids or if she knows many commands. She is ready to get herself a forever family!

Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Meet Sookie! -Sookie is 15 years young and weighs about 20 lbs. We think she looks like a beagle mix. Sookie came to Canines & Kitties when her owner could no longer care for her. Sookie is new to Canines & Kitties Rescue so we are getting to know her, but so far her foster mom reports she is a very sweet and gentle girl who is calm and easygoing. She does well with the other dogs in her foster home and the previous owner reported she was good with children and cats too. Sookie is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Snickerdoodle is about 3 years old and weighs about 20 lbs. We think she is a Beagle (just a guess). Snickerdoodle is a quiet, shy and timid girl who is learning what it means to live in a house as a companion. She is incredibly sweet but will need time to adjust when she goes to her forever home. She will need a patient adopter who will let her take the time to settle in and feel comfortable. Snickerdoodle takes cues from the resident dogs in her foster home and she learns from them so she will require another young confident and playful dog in her forever home. Snickerdoodle is not in a foster home with children, but we feel she would be ok with calm and respectful children 5 years and up. Snickerdoodle is doing well on her house training. She sleeps in her crate at night but does not like to be in a crate during the day. Snickerdoodle will do be in a home where someone is around a good portion of the day. Snickerdoodle is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
