Story
Pearl is a beautiful young momma who loves her baby and grooms him and other dogs throughout the day. She knows her name well and responds when called. She is house trained, leash trained, loves walking and being outside, and has a laid-back personality for the most part, but alerts you with her beagle bark. She is very athletic, as well. She is great with people and really enjoys getting pet and having someone to snuggle. She has seen cats thru the window, and it seems like she would give a wild chase, so maybe cats are a no.    Adoption fee: $525, includes all shots, sterilized, heartworm negative, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Jayde's adoption fee is waived for the month of August! Jayde is about 3 years old and 25 lbs. Sadly, her owner was elderly and had several dogs that she couldn’t properly care for. Jayne can be fearful in new situations due to the lack of socialization for most of her life. Knowing that Jayde would need time to decompress we sent her to an amazing foster home that would spoil her and help her learn that people aren’t scary. Her fosters said: “Sugar and spice and everything nice describes Jayde perfectly. She is as sweet as can be although a bit shy at first. She doesn’t have a mean or aggressive bone in her body. She loves to go for walks and be outside in her yard. She is crate trained but also makes a wonderful bed companion for those inclined to have their new BFF close by during the night. Jayde loves to play with other dogs and she would likely do best with a youngish sibling who likes to play. She is potty trained, people friendly and not overly vocal. Jayde is looking for that special person who has a warm heart and the patience to let her get comfortable in her new home. This girl is a sweetheart and is ready for her next excellent adventure.” Interested in learning more about Jayde? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. Jayde is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

Story
Jake Beagle Mix Male White/Tan 11 years old 27 lbs Golden Years, Golden Heart: Meet JAKE Jake is a sweet, soulful 11-year-old Beagle mix who is looking for a loving forever home. This gentle senior boy has a heart of gold and an easygoing nature that makes him an absolute joy to have around. Jake found himself in need of a new home through no fault of his own, and those who met him simply couldn’t leave him behind. Jake is the definition of a good boy. He gets along well with other dogs, is fully housebroken, and is crate trained. He has wonderful manners and a calm presence that makes him the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal, low-key friend. His recent senior bloodwork shows that he’s healthy, and his vaccinations are all up to date. He is already neutered. Despite his age, Jake still has plenty of love to give and truly shines as a devoted companion. He’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest just being near his people. Jake is an absolute doll and would thrive in a home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by kindness and care. If you’re interested in giving this sweet senior the loving home he deserves—or if you have any questions—please don’t hesitate to reach out. Jake is ready to meet his forever family. Please Note: **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting JAKE, please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application, JAKE's adoption donation is $300

Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please email us for the link to the adoption application.

Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   PJ is a 2-year-old Beagle with a heart as big as his floppy ears. He’s intelligent, quiet, cuddly, and friendly with everybody — dogs, cats, and humans of all ages…. He is very sweet and trusting, assumes every passing human is going to be his next best friend.  He is a fantastic leash walker, eager to great friends and neighbors and sniff all the things.  His favorite hobbies are burrowing in blankets, taking naps, dinnertime and occasionally zooming around the house like he just remembered he’s a dog.  He doesn’t bark (why bark when everybody is a friend?)   There’s no drama with PJ - just naps, love, and goofy blanket antics.  He has been recovering from heartworms in our foster home and we have had to keep him quiet and without much playtime, but we think that his favorite way to play is a simply running around a secure fenced in yard with his family and tug of war with his blankets or working on a dog treat puzzle.  He hasn’t shown interest in typical dog toys. PJ would be perfect for a multi-pet home (but maybe skip the toddlers unless you’re okay with him “helping” finish their snacks.)  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org.
