Story
Please contact Kady Hammer (KadyH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.fluffy puppy looking for his forever home!DOM NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!    Name:      Dom            Best Guess for Breed:      Beagle mix     Best Guess for Age:    6 months as of 12/6/23          SEX:      male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  33lbs as of 12/6/23   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:  Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Dom is Looking For:    This adorable pup is one of seven (Dom, Diego, Dew Drop, Derby, Deeks, Deuce, and Dimples). They've loved growing up in their puppy pile but are now ready to strike out on their own and get their forever homes! Right now they're just babies with all that silly puppy energy for lots of play time - and that sweetness for cuddles and deep naps on warm laps! In a little while they'll be ready to go around the neighborhood on walks - to show you how super smart they are at puppy school - and explore the world with you! What do you say? Is this sweetie the one for your home? What My Foster Says About Me: Dom is a very sweet and playful puppy! He has lived in a home with children and he really likes kids! Puppy Vetting Requirements:   Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . This super sweet girl did an amazing job of raising her babies Mulling and Mace, and they've gone off to find their own homes. Now she's oh so eager to get her very own humans to give all the love and affection she'd been lavishing upon her humans. Long sniffy walks (with that beagle nose!), world exploration, and snuggles - yes, please! She's way out of the puppy yips and as a wise, experienced dog knows what's important - what she wants most of all is to know she's safe and loved and under her own roof for all her days. We have tested Piper with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Piper could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!”   Currently Living at:  D.C area foster home!   Special adoption considerations: Piper is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog to show her the ropes. Because of her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12.    Piper is Looking For: Piper is a shy and gentle soul, she may take a little time to warm up to new faces, but once she does, her loyalty knows no bounds. Piper is searching for a patient forever family who understands that good things come to those who wait. Piper would love a family who can provide her with plenty of opportunity for walks and to meet and socialize with new dog friends, people and sights and sounds. Will you give this sweet girl a chance to blossom and be your forever friend? What My Foster Says About Me:   Piper is sweet and can be shy with people at first, but has started to come out of her shell at home. She has started to learn how to fetch! She loves going on walks with other dogs and is just the sweetest. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.5 year old, 35 lb. male Beagle mixSHERLOCK NEEDS A FOREVER HOME! Come meet Sherlock  and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Dec. 10) from 12-3 pm at the PETSMART in ROCKVILLE (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)! Name: Sherlock     Best Guess for Breed: Beagle mix Best Guess for Age:  5 years   SEX:  male Approximate Weight: 35 lbs. Gets Along With: other dogs generally but may be apprehensive when on leash. Currently Living with DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Sherlock is easily excitable and cannot go to a home with cats. Sherlock is a high energy dog who needs daily exercise beyond just walks.  I’m Looking For:  Poor Sherlock thought he found his forever home but for personal reasons his adopters are not able to keep any longer. This happy boy just wants a family who can take him out to play and introduce him to some other dogs. In addition to long daily walks with you Sherlock needs to burn off his young dog energy by running free at the dog park or doggie daycare. Beagles tend to follow their noses so be sure have plenty of treats on hand when training Sherlock to learn the rules in his new home. What My Foster Says About Me: Sherlock is energetic and playful with people and other dogs. He's a happy boy who likes going to the dog park, cuddling after a walk, and barking at the fox in our neighborhood. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any particular dog is housebroken.  All our dogs are working on crate training.  TO ADOPT: Download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org . Male, approx. 7 months old, 26 lbs Personality: Affectionate, energetic, goofy/funny, playful, and rambunctious. Meet Jack, the wiggly-tailed wonder ready to bring sunshine into your life! He's a bundle of energy and loves meeting new people and animals. Jack dreams of a family who enjoys outdoor fun like dog park adventures and hikes. Having a yard to roam would be like a dream come true for him! While he's still learning the ropes at home, Jack's a sweetheart deep down. His toy collection is his treasure, and he's becoming a leash-walking pro! He's a bit uncertain about crates, but that doesn't stop him from trying his best. He's super curious about other pets, especially his foster fur-brother and is eager to bond with new friends. Jack would thrive in a home with another dog to be his playmate and partner in fun! Although Jack hasn't met many kids yet, he's super friendly and full of potential. He's a quick learner and yearns for a loving family to guide him. Jack's ready to find his forever home-a place where he'll be cherished and where his playful spirit can shine bright! Apply today to meet him. ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.

Story
Everyone say hello to Trent,  the absolute snuggleyest puppy we  have for Christmas.  This little guy must have some Beagle Hound mix in his DNA and will probably be no more than 30 pounds as an adult.  All he wants to do in life is sit in your arms and cuddle up underneath your neck. Trent is the definition of cute, sweet love .... everything a puppy should be in your life. He and his siblings got dropped off at a small town shelter in Tennessee and we knew immediately they didn't belong there. They were only 4 to 5 weeks old and so very tiny, 2 pounds. At 10 weeks of age, he only weighs 7 pounds.  We know he won't be a big adult.  This little guy loves to eat and is treat oriented, which makes future training easy.  He gets along with other dogs of all ages and sizes and the resident adult Pug vpretends that he is Trent's mother.  He is being raised with foster cats and kittens and loves them.  Children are his friends too.  If you are looking for the most adorable,  loving, snuggle puppy, look no further because Trent should be yours!  Contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 10, 2023, 6:55 pm
