Story
Meet Lydia — Lydia is a stunning little girl with a sleek all-black coat, a sweet white stripe on her chest, and adorable white-tipped back paws. As cute as she looks, her personality is just as big! This energetic pup is clever and athletic—she quickly figured out how to hop right over a critter x-pen, earning herself an upgrade to a dog-sized x-pen instead. Smart girl! Lydia is always on the move and would likely grow up to be a great game-of-catch partner. She loves chasing a tennis ball and can happily spend hours chewing on her beloved edible Nylabones. Her favorite toys are ropes, and she’s known for launching surprise “attack” play sessions on her brother, which are equal parts hilarious and adorable. She’s been wonderful with adults and small children, loves belly rubs, and happily crawls into your lap for affection. She’s also shown no reaction to a cat casually walking by—just another cool point for Lydia. Like any puppy, she’s high-energy and curious, which means everything looks like it should go in her mouth. Her favorite times of day are mealtimes (no surprise there!), and her least favorite is nighttime when everyone goes to bed without her. During the day, she balances her busy puppy life between playtime and naps. One of the cutest things about Lydia? Her ears—always slightly raised with the tips folded over, giving her an endlessly expressive and heart-melting look. Lydia love to walk you when outside. She will grab the leash and try to pull you around. She is really beginning to enjoy her time outside. She is the one with all the energy. She is obsessed with chew treats. She'll finish hers and then goes on to tak her brother's treat. She has become a skilled climber on the stairs already! Lydia is pure puppy joy and ready to bring fun, love, and laughter to her forever home. Lydia is from a local reservation. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. Story
Hi, I’m Queenie! I’m a big, lovable girl who would make a wonderful match for a somewhat active family. I love going for walks and exploring the world, but I’m just as happy spending the day chilling with my people and soaking up all the belly rubs I can get (which is a lot—fair warning). Because of my size, I’d do best in a home with older kids—I’m gentle, but sometimes I forget how big I am and might accidentally knock someone over when I plop down next to them for cuddles. I walk nicely on a leash, I’m very food-motivated, and I already know how to sit, lay down, come when called, and take treats gently. I’ve done well on my dog test and did great with a foster puppy. I can be a little bossy with another female dog, though, so that’s something to keep in mind. Cuddling is kind of my thing. I’ll happily snuggle with you all day, sometimes flopping right next to you without realizing how much space I take up. I don’t really care about toys, but I do care deeply about walks and belly rubs—especially belly rubs. I’ll lay on my back, smiling with my tongue hanging out, living my absolute best life. My typical day starts early around 5am when I get up with my foster mom to go outside, then it’s breakfast followed by chill time (and trying to sneak in more belly rubs). I usually go on a 30–45 minute walk before noon, then it’s nap time… more naps… some afternoon training or mental stimulation… and yes, even more naps. I love welcoming the kids home from school, eat dinner around 6pm, and spend the evening lounging and stealing affection whenever possible. I’m not kennel trained and honestly prefer sleeping in the bedroom or living room. My favorite parts of the day are belly rubs and walk time. My least favorite part is being kenneled when my family has to leave briefly—I’d much rather stay out with my people. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, walk-loving girl with a heart full of love and a belly always ready for rubs, I might just be your Queen. Queenie is from a local reservation.

Pistachio is a fun loving gal who loves people! Her foster mom thinks she’s mixed with an Italian shepherd and is going to be a big docile girl! She’s a fast learner and knows ‘sit’ and ‘down’ already while waiting oh so patiently! She gets along with kids, cats, and other dogs great! Here’s a sweet video of Pistachio. If you’re looking for a new member for your family, Pistachio just might be it.
